is it ok to go for smears?

I'm going for a smear today and wondered if it was ok whilst TTC?

I'm 8dpo and have been getting crampy/pressure feeling in my uterus for the past 3 nights.

I think in this country they won't do one if you think you might be pregnant (although they are routine in pregnancy in some other countries). Perhaps rebook for just pre-ov?

It ought to be fine, in some countries they do smear tests on pregnant women. However if you are bothered just rebook for next month like euro says.

Thanks for getting back to me, I ended up just going. I need to get yearly smears after an abnormal smear in 06.

The nurse checked my blood pressure and she said it was low, I've never had low blood pressure before. She didnt seem concerned tho.
