Messed up pill and period - help please?

Ok, so my last period started on December 31st. I took the pill two days and then went away on a weekend break, forgetting to lift the tablets, so I missed 2, and third was 6 hours late. Came home and I took one when I got in but that night (8th) my withdrawal bleed started so I waited 7 days and restarted the pill on 15th. (with me so far?)

Last Monday (21st) I started to feel strange and since then, Ive had a mild nausea OR feel fine but randomly puking (thankfully later only 2 days) I feel constantly hungry, v emotional, sleep is off and my body aches, esp breasts. I figured it was just one of these weird bugs but then it hit me - thats how I felt with DD. I dont get period symptoms other than mild back and belly discomfort in the hour or two before bleed starts.

So, based on this I stopped the pill on Friday (last pill on Thursday morning) and awaited the withdrawal bleed. It was due to start yesterday morning. Im trying not to think about it as its bound to stress me out (we would be happy if pregnant, but we hadnt exactly planned to start til this time next year)

Have I just messed up my system by stopping and starting the pill and thats why its not here?

Will it come now that I have written this huge post? Grin

Im confused re pill. Am I right in thinking that the bleed in the no-pill week is not a real period? Im on microgynon 30.

Hi Blue, absolutely right, breakthrough bleeds are just that, and not proper periods. It certainly sounds like you could be pregnant as you were essentially unprotected when you had the break in Dec. I'd to a test and/or go and visit you local contraception clinic, what those buses don't know about pill cycles ain't worth knowing!
