Incredibly light period after 1 month TTC - bemused...

Hello all, am a newbie on here, having lurked for a while....Didn't think this TTC lark would be quite so mentally all consuming... We are in early 30's, and after 18 months married and a decade together the time is right to TTC!

Just after some advice really. Have regular cycles (28 - 30 days - always) and normal heaviness (need superplus tampax for a day or two then eases off) - sorry if TMI!

We have been DTD enthusiastically during January as its our first month TTC. My AF has turned up about on time, but is perhaps only 10% of the usual heaviness - hardly need to use anything at all!

I did do a Clearblue digital pregnancy test the day before AF arrived and it was negative.

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this... wondered if its due to DTD regularly "unprotected" for the first time!? Some sort of hormone influx?!?!

Dunno... Am bemused.... Just hope it doesn't scupper February plans! Does it still "count" as AF in terms of trying to predict ovulation?!

Thanks in advance Smile and sorry if I haven't mastered the forum lingo just yet ...

I'd retest if it hasn't become normal in the next couple of data using first morning urine if you didn't before.

I've never heard of dtd unprotected changing any hormone levels ( unless you mean you've come off the pill in which case it could)

Sorry no - I came off Implanon about 2 years ago... and have never ever had AF like this before.

I did my Clearblue test in the evening... perhaps a mistake!

Thanks for the info Smile

Sounds like an implantation bleed. I had this both times and also tested negative.

Try and test again in a week.

Fingers crossed. Smile
