TTC after oral contraceptive use?

just after a bit of sharing of experiences!

TTTC - tentatively trying of the see what happens sort - after 15 years of oral contraceptive use. Stopped taking it about 8 months ago, first visit from AF was bang on time, to the day, and then since then i have varied between 2 mths between periods to 2 weeks. Very erratic, heavy and I am completely fecking bonkers mildly hormonal. (which are most of the reasons I started on it years ago!).

I get all excited when i am left weeks/months late, and then the single line is always a bad day. I was advised that it would take time to get out of the system, but I would really appreciate some other peoples experiences. I'm trying not to try too hard, if that makes sense, but have all the fertilitiy calendars/trackers on my phone but nothing concrete to track!

(Dr does not think it is any problem but i'm not always convinced he thinks, FWIW)

thank u to anyone that can reply!

Hello afy84

I've had (so far), a very similar experience to you.

I was on the pill (Yasmin for past 8/9 years) since I was 16 and I'm now 29. I came off the pill at beginning of Oct and have had odd cycles since. 28 days followed by a 42 day cycle where I was convinced I was pg.

I am now on CD17 of an unknown cycle length and pretty much in the dark as to what is going on!

I did get EWCM on CD13 so DTD 3 times that week and still planning on DTD every 2/3 days.

I have some 'pinching' in my womb and have had this since yesterday lunch time. It's pretty mild at the moment.

This could be ovulation pains, implantation pains or early AF cramps - who knows!

Could just be my body being cruel!

Have you had any symptoms? Smile
