SweetieTime · 27/01/2013 09:23

Not started a new Fred before but hope it is successful for us as we are going to get our BFPs, either by traditional rat smacking activities or using the power of medical science.

Ladies I do declare WE WILL GET THERE - FACT !!!

Another quickie - cup I x-posted with you - congratulations on your job, that is fantastic! Very wise to not hand your notice in just yet, but I bet it makes going to work so much easier knowing you've got a little secret and won't be with them forever.

keep I have come out in a cold sweat just reading what you posted. I think I would be physically sick if that was my situation Grin I really wish I could learn to chill more and wing it from time to time.

Little update from me - MrG's son has asked him to go down to his uni home this weekend, for a meal and some bowling Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin We are both walking on air right now. Work is so hard to concentrate on!

Will do a proper post and namecheck later. Brooking quietly for you all in the meantime

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/03/2013 14:00

Oh Geek that is such amazing news!! I bet MrG can't wait! What progress since Christmas!

Solars the holiday sounds like a fab idea! Where are you off to?

I have a little message fro, Biscuits to pass on. She sends you all her love and she checks in with me regularly to get an update on you all x

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 13/03/2013 14:36

Solars great news on DH's results (I was a little worried when I read that they where positive at first Smile)

Geek what lovely news for MrGeek and you Grin

Maybe I was thinking about Biscuits the other day. Has she not been on mn for a while? I know she hasn't been on our thread for a bit but I don't ever go on the grads thread (I have irrational fear that it will jinx my chances of getting a BFP Blush). Say hello from me, I hope her two lovely boys are well.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 13/03/2013 14:46

Oh and thanks for all the congratulations on the job. I'm looking forward to a change!

Musical it's so lovely to see you!! How is mini musical?

Cups I will say hello back! Biscuits not so little brooking baby is 1 Shock can you believe it?!

Solars · 13/03/2013 15:25
NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/03/2013 15:59

Sounds lovely Solars. My bro is getting married in Lake Como! We are off there in May!

SweetieTime · 13/03/2013 18:15

Geek what amazing news for MrG, not surprised you are super exited.

Lovely to see Musical too popping in to keep us all company. The photos of MiniM look lovely on FB.

I miss Biscuits too she was always really helpful and upbeat with her advise. Hope she is ok and just taking a break from MN.

Solars Lake Como sounds awesome, just what you need to take your mind off things. Isn't that where George Clooney has a place? We have a trip next week too that was a bit last minutes but it fits in very well with our timings.

Well I have felt shocking today, I seem to have had a constant headache since the weekend and today felt really sickly and dizzy. I then realised it must be progesterone withdrawal as I took my last HRT on Saturday to bring on AF. I feel much better now so expect AF anytime.

Hiya brookers thank you for your brooking, it may have helped today, it seems there is a chance that the high doses of drugs I've been on could be responsible for the abnormalities.

Egg donation was raised as the best solution due to my diminished ovarian reserve and there is still a likelihood i have an egg quality idsue but for now she is happy to work on other options.

She said if we decide to pay for further IVF cycles she would advise either Natural or very Mild as clearly the drugs don't agree with me.

In the meantime she feels that we should try mild stim IUI as we are eligible for 3 funded cycles, this may take place over the next 6 months as we will abandon on cycles when the R ovary dominates and only proceed when I naturally produce a follicle on the L.

We will start IUI the cycle after next, and im going to be making some lifeste & diet changes, We also discussed DHEA which obvs she can't recommend as its not available in the UK but she said she wouldn't discourage me from using it and if I was going to then she would suggest a dose level of 75mg so am going to give it a go.

So all in all it's not game over and I'm sorry for my voice of doom yesterday I just really hit a low. I think I may take a break from MN for a while though but if I do i will still be brooking for you all from afar i promise xx

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 13/03/2013 18:52

Oh Scarlet that does sound much more positive. I am pleased it's not over for you. I will brook for you! Take all the time you need Thanks

Lake Como Envy

BeedlesPineNeedles · 13/03/2013 19:18

geek fab news about mrgeek and his son :o

cup congrats on your new job, don't worry too much about the maternity benefits, your happiness at your job is more important

maybe glad you're feeling a bit better about everything. And say hi to biscuits from me, we miss her - can't believe her little brooking baby is 1 Shock

musical lovely to see you, visitors with brownies are always welcome :o

scarlett so happy that you have a plan and that its not game over for you. You don't need to apologise for being sad yesterday, it must have been a horrible shock for you both.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/03/2013 19:29

Scarlett I am so pleased you have had some positive news today. It must be so nice to have a plan drawn up. I'm brooking like mad for successful IUI. Is the DHEA very expensive?

Sorry you've been feeling rubbish Sweetie. When do you start you womble drugs?

ControlGeek · 13/03/2013 20:15

apologies in advance brookers, I am on the wine by way of celebration Grin

scarlett that is such good news, I am so pleased the appointment was able to give you reassurances and a route forward. I refuse to believe your brooking journey ends here. It sounds like you have got a fab consultant on board, which is just what you need. So I don't embarrass myself horribly again, was it you who had the really awful consultant who basically wrote you off even before you had your proper test results?

solars I am soooo jealous of your holiday! I think it will probably do you and DH the power of good to just get away and forget about it all for a while.

maybe I'm glad they have enough from MrM to be getting on with, and that there is a plan in place should they need more. That brooking baby will be yours, my lovely.

Currently busy making plans for the weekend - we have replied to MrG's son to see if Saturday is good for him, and have a Travelodge booked for the night so that MrG doesn't have to drive both ways on the same day. His last lengthy car journey didn't go well (diabetic hypo) so he's a bit nervous about doing that kind of distance, especially as he would be doing it in the dark coming home. I'm planning on joining MrG for the evening, popping down by train (a mere 3 hr journey - thanks British Rail!) and hearing all about his first meeting with his son in over 11 years. I may be making the odd post on here, just to keep me sane - so nervous and excited for MrG, and thrilled that MrG is himself excited rather than nervous (at the moment - it will hit him nearer the weekend no doubt).

ControlGeek · 13/03/2013 20:16

PS - please brook that this is the cycle of my BFP, or alternatively that my lap & dye has done for me what it did for solars and extended my LP - as it stands, AF is due to arrive smack in the middle of the weekend that I am booked to work 20+ hours' overtime and I really need to be at the top of my game that weekend as I'm upgrading a live system :(

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 13/03/2013 21:32

Brooking this is the one for you Geek! And yes I have the pen insulin with the twisty bit on the end. Start at 2 and put up the dose every couple of days until I get it right.

ControlGeek · 13/03/2013 22:34

Bloody hell it's freezing here, and we're supposefdly coming to he end of our cold snap . Lots and lots of talking here tonight, have deicced to send MrG down with a bottle of our fave wine for MrG's son. That way even if he's not a wine drinker he can score some nrowbie points with his gf by having a present to give her.

We ave had some hysterically unmensh'n'ble conversations here this evening which I darent share online. Just finishing my last glass of vino for the evening then going o bed.

Night all :) xxx

keepitgoing · 14/03/2013 02:53

geek!!!! That is bloody amazing news. How quickly it's all happened. Good luck to mrGeek. Ooh, yay!!

Hi musical, any plans to rejoin us soon? ;)

Scarlett, am so pleased at your options. You're just not cut out for the hardcore drugs unlike me Hmm

I don't have enough plans for the next 8 days, solars. Will make some today. Also think I'll book a weekend away next weekend when we'll know The Result. A 9 day tww much better than my normal 15!

ScarlettInSpace · 14/03/2013 08:17

geek yes the first consultant I saw really upset me and basically wrote me off before we even started. I emailed the PA of this lady Rina Agrawal whose care I've been under ever since, she is fab and I think I am lucky to have her overseeing my treatment.

Off for Acu this morning too, a bit of a rebalance and work out a plan for the next 6 months.

Sorry am a bit mememe at the mo, definitely think a break from online is on the cards Wink

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 14/03/2013 11:00

Geek I think I completely missed out saying how completely fabulous, brilliant, amazing and marvelous the news is about Mr G and his DS, so happy for you both!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 14/03/2013 17:03

Scarlett I'm so glad the appointment went well & that you have a plan for the next stage.

Geek have you got a hangover today?!

Keep hope your finding plenty to keep you busy Smile

AF is here at last, I'm glad she has finally turned so we can get on with the next cycle. I'm sat here eating my 3rd chocolate bar of the day Shock

SweetieTime · 14/03/2013 21:50

Cup so sorry you have AF visiting. She is with me too but that means i can start the womble growing meds. I have baked rubbish brownies in practice for a party tomorrow. They taste yummy just a bit hard and crunchy. Hey ho wish i had done rice crispie buns as originally planned

face and scarlett thinking of you both

Maybe, it's so lovely to be here nosing at how everyone's doing! Mini musical is doing well thank you!

Sweetie, thanks for the comment on the pictures :) I hope there aren't too many of mini m on there though - I am all too aware of how hard it can be for other people (having been there myself, obviously), and try to get the balance between sharing a couple of pictures to keep relatives happy, without overdoing it. Of course I could sort out groups/privacy settings to ensure I don't upset anyone, but they baffle me somewhat. Glad you're feeling better..!

Beedles, I tend to find that with brownies ;) Today's baking adventures have been chocolate cupcakes, with swirly red and cream icing, and the red nose dinosaurs on top!

Geek that's wonderful, how exciting!

Scarlett hope you're feeling ok, and that the acu helped you feel better.

Keep, I hope to rejoin the brooking ranks soon ;) Although not just yet! We have discussed on the postgrad thread which of us will be first back. Think it's between Too and me!

ControlGeek · 14/03/2013 23:08

cups I'm a bit worried about the lack of hangover. Probably not a good sign!

musical lovely to see you around! Fantastic that you are thinking of re-joining us, it would be lovely to see a double-brooker.

scarlett hope you are having a better day today, and that the positivity of the appointment is sinking in a bit.

cartoon thinking of you, lovely xx

boo, beedle, sweetie, maybe, thank you :) got all out weekend plans sorted out now. It is confirmed, MrG and MrG's DS meet at 1pm on Saturday, I will go down by train late afternoon/early evening and get checked into the travelodge, and when MrG gives me the all clear that MrG's DS has gone home I'll emerge and we can have tea at wetherspoons :)

ControlGeek · 14/03/2013 23:11

meant to include keep sorry my lovely xx

Really bad at namechecking when I'm being hassled about which cats are in and which are out!
