Not started a new Fred before but hope it is successful for us as we are going to get our BFPs, either by traditional rat smacking activities or using the power of medical science.

Ladies I do declare WE WILL GET THERE - FACT !!!

solars and keeping - my hospital don't offer them, I asked for one on Tuesday :-( I asked her about the uterus thinning after what you said, and she said the risk was very minimal. If I had a scan privately, wouldn't I need to have consultation appointments, etc first?

Solars, I think this round of IVF is the one!

Speaking of 'tripping up', loved how my friend from uni got pregnant on her honeymoon! wish I would stop being such a jealous monster, really need to start being pleased for people lol,

RubberBullets · 16/02/2013 19:46

I seem to live in a stupidly fertile area, shall I start bottling the water and sending it to you?

ControlGeek · 16/02/2013 19:52

I feckin hate pre-AF super-emotional-moments. I've just burst into tears sending my WW leader a fb message Confused

Soph80 · 16/02/2013 20:53

Geek - sends hugs and a nice Brew made with bullet's water Smile xxx

Don't get me wrong sparks I'm not down, I just spontaneously burst into tears when I was sending her a thank you message for a card she had sent me. Just got thoroughly overwhelmed by her being such a lovely lady!

Thanks soph :) I've no idea whether you'd need additional appointments or if you could just go for a scan - hopefully someone with more experience will be along shortly. I thought scans were always recommended with clomid though, partly for the lining issue, and partly so that you know when you are ovulating and how many mature follicles you have. Wasn't there some concern about if you had more than three, or am I getting confused with the IVF stims?

So now I am drinking soph's [coffee] made with bullet's water, sitting on sparks' chair, in my HR department (because they are all serial mat leave takers and new starters usually get pg within about 6 months of starting there) so I am guaranteed diffedness after Monday's op.

How is everyone doing on this fine Saturday evening? I'm about to watch a spiderman film.

keepitgoing · 17/02/2013 03:06

I hate people too sparks.

Everywhere I go is fertile, all around me is fertile. Am freak.

Geek. T-1. Not surprised you're emotional, its a stressful time. BTW has af arrived..?

soph I thought you could get just a scan but maybe not. I don't think its that uncommon and likelihood increases the longer you take it. Do some reading and make your risk/benefit assessment.

keepitgoing · 17/02/2013 03:07

Geek's also right re number of follies, my iui would have been cancelled if I had three. But maybe without iui the chances of all fertilising are v low for us fertility-challenged!

cartoontrickster · 17/02/2013 06:38

besh sounds umm nice. Hmm
geek whens ur op?

ControlGeek · 17/02/2013 11:36

Aww thanks for the hug boo Being Queen of the Crossposts, I've only just seen it this morning Blush

keep if you're a freak then we're all freaks together. Personally, I think the super-fertiles are the freaks. They must never be able to enjoy sex without constantly having to worry about contraception, did they take their pill at the right time, what if their condom split, what if a little bit leaked before the condom went on, and worst of all what if they had forgotten to take their pill and they had no condoms in the house - they couldn't have sex! Hell's teeth I couldn't be doing with that.

It's tomorrow cartoon - my admission appointment is at 1.15pm but I have no idea how long after that before the actual op itself. I'm a bit concerned because I'm not allowed to eat after 9am or drink after 1pm. That is a VERY long time for me to go without food!

Well, AF turned up this morning, obviously worried about missing the party. Kind of a pain because the cramps are here too and I have so much to do today. Think I'm going to have to rope MrG in for a few household chores and monitor him like crazy

I'm still excited, but it's starting to feel very real now. I've been told to expect to feel like I've been kicked by a horse for a couple of days after the op. It will be an interesting comparison because I few years ago I really dod get booted in the chest and groin by a horse. Took more than a couple of days to get over that, I can tell you!

How is everyone's weekend going?

NewYearNewBoo · 17/02/2013 11:47

I think that's everything, we're ready for your recovery Geek you relax, don't worry about anything, Mr G and us lot have everything covered! Wink

NewYearNewBoo · 17/02/2013 11:48

Aag magazines, I nearly forgot magazines!!!! Do you prefer a scandal rag or something a little more high brow?

ControlGeek · 17/02/2013 11:54

veeery nice boo !! I can't remember the last time I read a magazine Shock I think I'd like Home & Garden, or Period Living or something like that I can dream can't I!

I'll be taking just my phone and kindle with me - reckon that will be enough to get me through Monday evening/night? I'm assuming I'm going to spend most of it asleep with painkillers anyway.

NewYearNewBoo · 17/02/2013 12:27

Glad you like the place Geek we will have you back on your feet in no time! I think phone and kindle will be fine (as long as you have the MN app or mobile version to update us or FB Wink)

keepitgoing · 17/02/2013 12:33

Didn't realise you're in overnight geek
Don't stress about house stuff. Leave it all. Also so true about the Fertiles...

Want to say it again

geek rocks

Soph80 · 17/02/2013 19:03

Good luck for tomorrow geek, not that you'll need it xxx

ControlGeek · 17/02/2013 21:56

Thank you you lovely, lovely ladies. All is packed and ready, I've printed out the words to Soft Kitty so MrG has no excuse not to sing it to me after my op, life insurance policies are in place, house looks absolutely spotless.

But apparently my plans for a massive breakfast are all wrong! I need to have something small and light rather than my sausages, black pudding, onion rings and beans that I had planned Sad - they recommend one slice of toast, and no butter!!!!!
