gail yey yey yey - it had suddenly dawned on me yesterday there may be a sinister reason for why you were quiet. Seems it is happening a lot at the mo. Humourless bags.

Anyway can we have a chart link so we can get excited on your behalf? My sister got really bad spots before finding out she was pregnant (she is one of the holy grail with perfect skin all of their life) and they continued until the day after my nephew was born.... So either it's a symptom (good) or you have forgotten to wash whilst in exile...

gail I'm feeling perplexed and not particularly hopeful - I've no symptoms at all other than a bit of bloating which I put down to the amount of food i've consumed this w/e. dont even feel like af is on the way. I'm hoping /praying that, if it isn't my month this month, at least I won't have the dramatic fanfare of unbearable cramps (&diarrhoea) that I had last month...

Pipbin · 03/02/2013 17:27

Evening ladies.
So we went to see one house that we weren't hopeful for and didn't like it. Went to see the second which we were expecting to love as we had loved the identical house next door and we knew this was coming on the market. But it had been 'done up'. by which I mean they pulled out everything that was nice and worth the extra and made it crap. So all despondent we went to my friends house round the corner for tea and cake. Found another house on Rightmove, phoned up, saw it straight away and put an offer in today. Which was accepted without a quibble!

All exciting. Can't be bothered to make a baby now. I'm too excited about the house.

Boodle9 · 03/02/2013 17:27

Cor, it's rowdy in here for a Sunday afternoon! Well Gail, so far so good on the chart front. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you whilst I quietly sulk because I'm feeling distinctly PMS-y but without having ovulated this month. Damn it.

Wow, Pip! Missed that earlier in the cross-posting! What fantastic luck! Very pleased for you and hope that the next stages go as smoothly as possible!

Gail, I'm not entirely sure now! I'm on CD18 and temps are still very low and no positive OPK achieved. I have ov'ed on CD18 before though so I guess it could still happen. If it does happen today/tomorrow then I expect to see AF arriving no later than 9 days later. 30th birthday is imminent and, knowing my luck, it will arrive then! I've had excellent form recently for having AF arrive on particularly depressing days! (Including a baby shower, birth of a baby, christening and Christmas Day! AF has a cruel sense of humour.)

It's human to get hopeful but I understand why you hate yourself for it. No helpful advice - just sit tight and wait it out. (And hope your head doesn't implode in the meantime.)

Ouch guess I deserved that Grin

pip how fab! Lovely to have something to take your mind off all this!

boodle I know what you mean, the witch arrived on my birthday last weekend, what a bitch!

I am hopeful for some sausage wanging BFPs this month!!!!!

Just suggested to hubby we go practice making babies and he's not in the mood Angry so having a bath to escape from feeling annoyed. Will have to jump on in the morning so I then have 24hours before smear test tues morn, what fun!

Boodle9 · 03/02/2013 19:06

Gail, yeah, I do have short lp every month. It's something I've raised with doctor but she just didn't want to hear it. Am hoping the fertility consultant will take me seriously (just waiting for appointment to come through). Anovulatory cycles aren't typical. I've had 2 over the last 15 cycles (this would be the third), which I'm led to believe is pretty normal.

In the hope that I might ovulate today or tomorrow, I really should go and get it on with DH. Have got loads of marking to do for tomorrow too though. Late night for me it is.

Thundercatsarego · 03/02/2013 19:11

Oo bunny are you holding off dtd because of smear? Sorry to jump in with such a direct question but that caught my eye. I have one coming up too and it should be shag week if oh recovers in time so been wondering if there's any reason to abstain?

Thundercatsarego · 03/02/2013 19:12

Ps hi gail and welcome back Wink

2cats222 · 03/02/2013 19:18

gail you're looking triphasic whoop whoop

captainmoll · 03/02/2013 20:11

Great news Pip! That's how we found our house boat too - the unexpected last ditch viewing after a big disappointment.. Really hope it all goes smoothly.
Spotty Gail, also really hope your face is covered in the zits of joy and babyness! Fx for that.

Thunder, I'm pretty sure they request no sex within 24 hrs of a smear or similar as it messes up the cell samples. You'd probs end up having to have another one done.

Bunny - grr at unenthusiastic hubby. Jump his bones!

Boodle - I've found similar disinterest in short LP at the lower end of the medical food chain, but when I got to the head consultant and repeated the info again (as dep gynae had made weird inaccurate notes, I had to go through it v slowly and clearly) he was interested. So I think you have to just keep on saying it and eventually the right person hears you.

I'm watching Die Hard 2: Die Harder while dh cooks a delicious casserole. Perfect Sunday evening. Just wanted to share that with y'all.
