AF or implantation bleed?

I know I'm probably grasping at straws here.

AF arrived last night (CD26) - not due until Sunday so a bit of an unwelcome surprise. However, it's been very light. I actually felt a sharp pain in my right side before I realised I was bleeding, I even thought to myself...'hmmm, wonder what that could be...?'

Any chance this might not be AF? What are implantation bleeds like - light spotting or like the start of a period? I remember with my 1st pg thinking my AF had started but it only lasted that day. Looking back, it must have been implantation.

Sorry, I'm rambling. Just really really wishing that I don't have nasty old AF. Any words of wisdom?

Implantation bleeds are generally brown or pink apparently. If it's red, it's probably AF. Or so I've read.

Implantation supposed to occur around CD22, but I guess it depends how long your cycle usually is. Do you know when you OVed?

what is the bleeding like now www? How are you feeling, you're not still in pain are you? Watch your symptoms as the description of one sided pain rang alarm bells with me of an ectopic pregnancy. (I don't want to alarm you unnecessarily though.)

If it is still very light or gone by tomorrow maybe you could test tomorrow am. It might be that you are having a slow start to af, or it could be implantation bleed as you had that before and many people have.

I hope you're feeling better.

I'm pretty sure it's AF. It's bright red blood, though still very light. And I feel the usual symptoms.

I ov'd on day 14 - last Monday, so this 12dpo. I will test tomorrow am if it does stop. Just really fed up!

thanks for your replies!
