Hello...just wondering if anyone could help lift my spirits? feeling slightly miserable today.

DC was a very easy conception and now have been ttc 3 years for this next one (with one MMC 2 years ago). Can't quite believe it will ever happen. Have even resorted to buying a hypnosis book, so I can think myself fertile!

We are probably going to go for IVF next month but hoped it might just happen the way nature intended.

Any encouraging stories would be very gratefully recevied........

Not encouraging, but similar, DS #1 is 3 next week, so we will have been trying for 2.5 years now and no sight of any baby coming. Friends have announced theyre trying, got pg, had #2, planning 1st b'day party and we are still trying each month. Just feel so frustrated, got a terrible habit of clocking friends bellies now on first sight, cause can't bear the thought of another person announcing they're pg with #2.

Good luck Beanery, I saw your thread while trying to find my old ttc thread! Ds is now nearly 6 and took 3months to conceive, dd is 9 months old now and she took over 3 years and a MMC to conceive. However, she is here now and totally gorgeous! I don't know what finally made it work, we had been to see consultant, but not got as far as IVF.

I just wanted to wish you good luck. It is very hard, and I found it affected a lot of how I was and coping with every other tom dick and harriet bringing their 2nd and 3rd child to playgroup/pre-school was very hard, friends announcing pregnancies and even the postie saying "ooh isn't it time you had another one"

You are on the right place on here, find a thread you are happy on, I was on the "sore bits" thread and it was great to have some support and a place to rant.

Good Luck.

DS took 6 months to conceive (age 32) but DC2 took much longer - 3 years until successful pregnancy (im 35 weeks now! - and 37 years old) In that 3 years I've had 3 miscarriages, a ruptured ectopic (lost a tube) and a chemical pregnancy! Its been a tough journey!
Interestingly there has been massive variants in how many cycles it took to get pregnant -ranging from 1 month to 13 months, in fact I conceived quicker after losing a tube!!Confused I think that proves that fertility really is completely unpredictable!!
I wish you lots of luck and hope it happens soon for you! Smile
