Smear test while TTC

I am TTC for no 2 as a result of a bit of an accident... But a good one (unplanned unprotected sex with DH, but now excited about TTC... DD is 2 years 3 months).

Anyway. Was due a routine smear. Can I have one now on the 2ww, or do I have one post next af (if it comes!). Think I've only had one post DD....

Any ideas?

As far as I know it doesn't matter. I think in the US women have smears done routinely during the first trimester (but I could be wrong). I've just had mine done almost mid-cycle and we are about to start TTC #2. I had been (stupidly) putting it off, it was a New Year resolution to get it done! Usually they prefer you to have it done mid-cycle so they may ask you to wait until next month anyway.

Generally I think the approach is to try to go before ovulation, having said that in America they do smears during pregnancy so I don't think it's a huge problem!

I'm in the UK, I was told I couldn't have mine when I was last pregnant. I went for it a few months later and they found cancer (it was removed, I'm well) so please do go as soon as you are able.
