BFP! but mild cramps....

So after over two years TTC and on first round of Clomid we have finally got our BFP!!!! I'm just a bit concerned that I'm getting mild cramps in my back at top of my thighs around my hips, not enough to want to take pain relief but enough to make me keep checking. They're not really bad but pretty constant. I'm 15dpo and got BFP on 12dpo. Please say this is pretty normal and I can begin to enjoy the BFP feeling?! Thank you!

I had cramps all the time when pg with my DS. I had them all through the pregnancy but by about 8 weeks they were only every few days. I think it was everything growing and stretching. Xx

I also had them with the last two pg and its very worrying. They stopped about four months I think!
I used to take a couple of paracetamol to give me a break from the worry.
I'm sure you will be fine. Lots of luck x

Yup loads of cramps. It's your uterus stretching. As long as they're not severe and/or you're not bleeding, it's normal. Congratulations!

Thank you all! Right, I'm gonna start to try to relax!! xx

Sounds normal to me! I was so freaked out by them I was going to the loo every 5 mins and checking... that and POAS nearly every day to check I hadn't made it up!!!
18+1 x

I think its normal to get cramps but you could always just ask you GP for reassurance? Excellent news by the way. Very reassuring to me as on 1st course of clomid too x

Soph80 · 15/01/2013 21:32

Very reassuring that you got pregnant btw, not cramps haha

I used to get cramps like bad AF ones for a few weeks after BFP , so much so that I asp was continually knicker checking and convinced AF was on her way.

I think it is things just stretching and all those little cells multiplying and burrowing into the lining of your uterus!

Congratulations!

Thank you all so much! I'm still checking every hour but did manage not to POAS from Saturday until last night! Thank you again, all very reassuring. Xx

I'm just 5 weeks preggers and have had cramps since I was about 3 weeks or so. Mostly round my tummy but occassionally in my lower back too. As others have said it's just your body starting to stretch and get ready. It's amazing how quickly things start happening! I find a nice soak in the tub or a hot water bottle help, neither too hot though!

I've also started getting 'round ligament pain' but generally only when I stand up too quickly or something. A sharp pain on the right side of my tummy which goes away very quicky. Also totally normal I am assured but it does rather take my breath away sometimes!

I had those on my 3 pregnancies - I was always convinced my period was coming (it didn't) despite the BFP. Good luck.

Congratulations!!
