smear test when ttc, advice please

Hi everyone. I'm seriously overdue a smear test. Just had another letter thru post today so just made appointment. Only one they could give me was 25th jan. That will be my cd 25. If I'm pregnant could a smear cause problems? Would the nurse be able to tell? Soooo many questions lol. I just don't wanna keep putting smear off but also don't wanna lose a month ttc x

It'll be fine. In the US they routinely do smears when pregnant. If it's going to panic you though, just book between the end of your period and ov.

Hi, I had a smear recently and the GP who knows I am ttc advised me that there was no problem with having it.
However the nurse who actually did the smear said in some cases having it done can increase the chances of conception because it scrapes away some of the cells that are at the cervix acting as a barrier to sperm, so I wish I'd timed it for just before ovulation to take advantage of this fact!
She said she's had quite a few people who've fallen pregnant soon after a smear!

my friend fell pregnant in the month she had a smear after a year and a half trying!
