ovulation question - can anyone help???

Hi..

I'm ttc just now and am on CD 24. I've been keeping a close eye on all my ov signs, doing LH tests etc. Anyway, for the past few days I've had a quite noticeable CM - I checked it closely today and it's like egg white, stretchy etc. So I did another ov test and it was negative. I also did a pg test (couldn't wait!) which was negative too.

Can anyone tell me what's going on? Can CM be a sign of pg? I thought that post ov there was very little CM. I've had a few aches and twinges down below. I've only been ttc for a month snce my m/c at the end of February. We did a lot of bd'ing when I did ovulate!

I have CM in the last 10 days of my cycle but it is definitely not fertile CM.

What is your normal cycle length? Did you get a LH surge this month so far, if so what day? It could be that you are gearing up to release an egg and then not doing so as I have heard of people getting more than one LH surge in a month - stress, for instance, may affect the ovulation - so maybe you are yet to ovulate.

thanks for responding. I had an LH surge last Monday - CD16. My usual cylce is 28 days, I think. It's all been a bit messed up since the m/c.

I had this last month, ewcm about a week after ov. I looked it up in Taking Charge of Your Fertility as I thought maybe I was going to ov again that month. Apparently it is a sign that the corpus luteum is beginning to break down, you may also get a lot of watery discharge, and it is a sign of impending AF. With me, the next day brown spotting started, then I got AF about 5 days after that. I know this may not be what you want to hear but I hope it is helpful

Thanks PP - no, not what I wanted to hear, but never mind. AF isn't due till Sunday, and since my last post I've had no real sign of CM.

Fingers crossed anyway....
