First month ttc, anyone in the same boat and want to get excited with me?

Hi all, this is my first month TTC after waiting to TTC for 14 months so I am very excited ( and a lil scared). I am 26 and this will b r first baby. So if anyone else is in the same situation, come and join me and we can get excited together! (grin)

Hi again, been away from the thread for a few days, here's an update:

I felt really weird and poorly on Friday and Saturday (headache, nausea, tiredness), but it didn't develop into anything, and yesterday had a very light and faint bleed which was over pretty much as soon as it started. But it got me wondering whether it was an implantation bleed! Yesterday was around 8 days after I reckon I ovulated so about the right time for implantation I think.

I've given up trying not to symptom spot, and I'm hardly thinking about anything else! I think my AF will be due some time next week but will try to resist testing until the end of the month if it doesn't turn up; I don't really know what my cycle is as it's my first month off the pill. Not sure I'm mentally prepared for a BFP as I really wasn't expecting it to happen straight away, my DH and I are terrified (but in an excited way )!

Whoa this thread has reli taken off, it's brilliant! setay I'm the same as you, just waiting patiently or not so patiently for ovulation. I've been off the pill for over a year so my periods are all back to normal but this month has been weird. I've been having pains in my left ovary for the past 2 days but I'm still about 6/7 days away from ovulation! I normally have this pain closer to ov but not this far away! Anybody else get this?

blue any news? Do u know when u ovulated and how many dpo u are?

I once had a 66 day cycle and went to the docs and they told me they can't/won't do anything unil ur period has been missing for 6months!!

Sunshine you don't think you could ov early do you? Are u checking your cycle in anyway?

I have had some odd pains but doctor told me last night it's all down to my pulled back that iv had for a few weeks nothing to do with my cycle.

Its all very exciting! Trying to get back to being positive after not getting BFP last week (silly to think it would happen straight away but was just hoping!) Also hoping to be moving into our first house in 2 weeks to so not much time to DTD this week due packing/painting/arguing with solicitor but will defo make time this weekend and after that and fingers crossed for next month! Have got no idea what my cycles will be like as only came off the pill in December so will just have to make sure we DTD loads until its back to being regular again.

Fingers crossed for you Blue I know I would be a mess if I were you. Sounds like you should try to see your GP as you have symptoms and no AF - and just keep POAS every few days in the meantime

Looking forward to hearing some good news soon from someone at least :-)

Hi everyone! Been busy with work and driving lessons so haven't had a chance to call in. Uterus aches are on and off most of the time in waves. As of yesterday I've got this constant metallic taste in my mouth that is there even when I'm eating. It's weird and annoying, I know it's a symptom of early pregnancy but it's like my mouth, tongue and teeth are covered in foil! Google suggested it could be from taking folic acid so I'm going on that until i can test on the 17th. Hope you are all OK and keeping positive x

Hi ladies, I'm in a similar situation too - first month ttc, finished my last pack of the pill on 27th December so not expecting anything soon but just stopping taking it every morning is pretty exciting. Still a bit ignorant about cycles and when I'm ovulating but am doing lots of reading! I'm 29 but DH is 40 and he's sooo broody! Looking forwards to reading about some BFP's soon!

I managed to resist the urge to buy a test is weekend, and have been getting faint period pains this evening, even though I'm not due until Wednesday...sad times . Oh well, I suppose getting pregnant on the first month of trying would always take a very lucky person. Good luck to the rest of you!

yeah im in the 2ww as of tomorrow!ovulated quite late this month. but finally got a positive opk this morning. quite glad we hadnt given up dtd and managed it thursday. sunday morning and this morning after tomorrow not a lot left we can do.

Well that's Monday over and done with and its nearly January's pay day and I might be able to get a life again after Xmas!

Pil have just booked the whole family including our dog a week in the lake district in 3 months just keep thinkin what a perfect time to tell them all we are pregnant -fantasising about telling them- so really this would be the perfect month!

Well tmi alert but I had a lot of EWCM yesterday but a negative opk- so thinking (and hoping) that I ovulated yesterday and I just missed my surge cuz I didn't get a chance to test until last nite! Awell dtd last nite and I'm now hopefully 1dpo and entered into my first 2ww! Eeeeekkk

Yeah I normally get Ewcm about a day before I ovulate (I think to be honest I don't have a clue lol)
If that's the case tho sunshine we should be testing around the same day. Are u going to get another bd in today? I really have no urge to but think I should so all bases are covered.
Here's hoping these two weeks go quickly and the little swimmers are doing there job as we speak lol

My ultrasound referral came through today gonna try and put it off until after af so if it is bad news I get it after I no of we have been successful this month.

Hi can I join please :) I'm 28 ttc baby 1 it's all so exciting but there is so much info to take in! I ov on 3rd Jan so few more days til testing. Try to dtd every 2-3 days so think everything's going good so far! Only problem is I've not had AF for 12months and got my implant removed in Nov. Nothing has came yet but I use opk and they showed LH surge on 3rd, 4th and 5th so hoping that I'm going to either get AF of BFP in a few days time!
