Conceiving while taking Ferrous Fumerate..?

Hi

I am thinking of TTC. I am taking Ferrous Fumerate for an iron deficiency. Anyone know whether I should stop prior to TTC?

Ive been prescribed it both pregancies so its obviously safe.

But while conceiving? I know it's safe during pregnancy, but wondered if that was at a certain point in the term

Iron is iron. Its in pregnacare. the actual form it takes is irrelevant,plus if you are deficient in Iron, you need it regardless of whether you are pregnant or not, trying to conceive or not. I wouldnt worry about it.

I was taking ferrous sulphate while ttc. I didn't think twie about it tbh. Pregnant women are often prescribed iron supplements.

Check with a pharmacist if you want extra reassurance.
