Feeling very down after getting my period today and wanted some advice regarding ovulation tests and if Mums have found them helpful? We have been trying to conceive DC2 since June, I have a regular 28 day cycle, so have a good idea when I should be ovulating anyway, but as this hasn't helped so far I wondered if an ovulation test was worth a try? Any support from people in a similar situation would also be lovely!

I tracked my cycle with ovulation tests after been on depo wasn't actually ttc but after 6 months of tracking I knew exactly when I was ovulation had a bit of an accident 2 days bbefore I was due to ovulate and caught on. So yes definitely try testing so u know exactly when your going to ovulate test mid day for accuracy and start having sex 3 days before so you don't miss out. Good luck

Yes, definitely. I had a fairly regular 28-30 day cycle, and assumed, as the textbooks say, I ovulated on day 14. Turns out I actually ovulate day 21 or so and had a really short 9/10 day luteal phase. If I'd not been using ovulation sticks I'd never have conceived, nor known to take supplements etc to increase my luteal phase either.
