Chemical pregnancy

Ok I've been here before (x 5 before had babs) and I should remember but I think I've blocked the memory!
I've due tomorrow (I'm like clockwork) and for last three days I've been using cheap 10 uhg (?) strip tests. They are out of date by about 2 months and while there was a faint line it's gotten more faint. Bought a POAS yesterday and it was v faint.
Did a clear blue digital this evening and it says 1-2 weeks.

Is this a chemical pregnancy? Hate that term btw

So sorry you are going through this. Have you had any bleeding? F the digi is still saying 1-2 weeks that's good. Sometimes hcg levels just vary and you might be fine. Cramping is normal in pregnancy as your uterus is expanding to make room.

I had a CP last year and my tests started going fainter but I never got a 'pregnant' on a digital and then I had my period. No cramping for me till I started bleeding. Hopefully you are still okay.

Surely it would only be a chemical pregnancy if you had got a definite BFP and then started bleeding around the time AF would normally be due?

If you've had no bleeding and have a positive test then it's not chemical it's a pregnancy so congratulations to you! Grin

No bleed at all. But I thought the increasingly fading lines meant it wasn't sticking? That was previous experience anyway.
Suppose it's a wait and see!

It is a chemical pregnancy if it miscarries before a week after your period is due, and you say you are not due until tomorrow?

It is a really tough time (been there!), but you just have to wait. I really feel for you - I know exactly how you feel. Fingers crossed!

Have you been doing the tests with fmu? Or at different times of the day. I suppose the only thing you can do is wait it out.

It's horrible to go through this. So sorry.

Whatwhatwhat · 01/01/2013 15:18

They're all the same test (apart from digital) same time of day FMU

Thanks.

Whatwhatwhat · 02/01/2013 20:59

Hi RedRobin

Thanks for asking.
