Do Ovulation pains make conceiving easier?

Just thinking out loud here after reading another thread but if you get pains for ovulation, surely you know exactly when your ovulating, so therefore conception is easier? Or does it not work like that?

Just curious really.

Ah, but ovulation pain can come just before, during, or just after ovulation. So it can be a clue, but not necessarily (speaking from experience, we've bd'd before on the same day of ov pain and here we are still ttc!)
It is a good clue though that you are actually ovulating!

depends, if you ovulate at the same time every month I guess your chances are better. I got pains but ovulated on either day 12, 13 or 14. but only took me 2 months to get pregnant so it did help. are you ttc then?

Nope not TTC just yet, just curious really, especially since I do get what I guess are ovulation pains about two weeks after AF some months.

Nope... not in my case and I get serious ov pains - infact for 3 days a mth they make sex nigh on impossible without codeine based painkillers.
Ps never used to get ov pains until after dd, been trying for 3 yrs for another to no avail...
