Does time of ov in cycle matter?

Ive been using the cbfm and have been ovulating every cycle, but I don't seem to ovulate until day 20 onwards. My period then arrives between days 30-35, am I ovulating to late for it to stick?
All my pregnant friends said that they ovulated earlier in cycle so now I'm the only one who's not pregnant then I'm wondering what's going on?!
can the time that u ovulate affect wether or not the bean sticks??!!

It can affect it but (from what I've read) it would only be a problem if you have less than 10 days between ovulation and period arriving so it shouldn't be causing you a problem. The thing to look at isn't what day of your cycle you are ovulating but how long your luteal phase is so as your cycle is fairly long you will probably have a similar luteal phase to friends you have asked.

Usually it's fine, as has been said it's your luteal phase length that matters and yours seems to be in line with normal levels!

I conceived my first child on day 29, but I imagine if I hadn't conceived her I'd have had a 39 day cycle (my LP at the time was around ten days).

If my cycle is left to its own devices (no supplements or miscarriages changing things) I think it naturally wants to ovulate on day 21-24 and give me a 10 day LP so not that dissimilar to you.

There is some anecdotal evidence that particularly late ovulations (we're talking day 40+) are more likely to result in a loss or no conception but I'd suspect whatever it was causing the late ovulation would surely play a part in that too. No idea if there is decent research into it or not.

With what you describe I'd say you had nothing to worry about Smile
