Quick question about DTD...

Hi all

I have been OPKing this month twice daily since CD10 (currently CD13) and have been getting progressively darker lines.

The test I have just done is not quite a positive, but the fact that it is so much darker than the first test (coupled with some cramping) makes me think ovulation could be imminent.

So my question is...we already DTD last night as well as this morning Blush, so if I am ovulating should we tonight as well, or should we give it a rest until tomorrow to let his swimmers catch up?!

Thanks in advance ladies, Katy x

I have no real idea but I would do it tonight using the theory of throwing as many of the little swimmers at the situation as possible! I'm sure it is more complex that that but I'm quite simple!

Thank you

Well that makes sense-save it up for Christmas Eve-maybe just be a lucky date for you!

It's a myth that men need time to build sperm back up. If you dtd tonight he'll have just as many as any other day.

I read it was urban myth. Unless the man is known to have a low sperm count. However, pressure and expectation and tiredness can cause performance anxiety and failure todo anything. So if DH doesn't really want to, don't push it. Because one episode of droop can precipitate a whole lot more (don't tell him that). Speaking as a couple who took a year ttc with occasional ED issues.

If you fancy sex, it should be fine but I don't think you need to do it again tonight! I think you've got it covered.

Thanks all. We waited until this morning...but have since gotten an actual positive on an OPK (it's my first one and was so exciting to see!)

So now we have already done it this morning so I'm thinking it should be OK to wait until tomorrow morning (hubs is out for a couple of drinks this evening anyway) but I can feel myself panicking thinking we'll miss the egg!

I know I should calm down and get a grip but my body won't seem to let me Grin
