Hi,

I am on cycle 2 of ttc so last month was my first. I have never tried before, I have never been on the pill and have always used condoms.

A round the time of ovulation last month I started getting a really painful back, is all lower back pain. I have since then been constipated (nice!). I normally have a 26 day cycle and ovulate on day 12, last month I had a 28 day cycle and ovulated on day 14.

My main worry is the whole of my lower body is very tense. I had a lot of cramping and nausea before my last period and a VERY heavy period. They normally last 4-5 days which this one did but I had spotting on cycle 7 after having sex and on cycle day 8 (this time no sex) I have never had this before and am worried as I'm due to ovulate on friday.

I never had this before, am I just worring over nothing?

Thank you!

I think that, as you're TTC, you're paying more attention to your cycles, which is why you're noticing more.

Fwiw, I always get lower back pain during ovulation and just prior to and first 1-2 days of menstruation.

Your cycles seem like they're regular; nothing seems odd to me from what you've said. Try to relax and enjoy making your baby :)

I would not worry myself unduly over this unless you keep getting constipated along with having spotting and heavy periods.

Ovulation is not an exact science and you can ovulate earlier, later or not at all in any given cycle. It is not correct to assume that ovulation occurs 2 weeks before the start of the next period.

Thank you for your replys, I know I'm just worrying over nothing, its nice to have someone else tell me!

Its one of those things isn't it, I have wanted a baby for years and now I start ttc I think every sign means I'm infertile! Am totally enjoying the baby making part though and I think I'll chill out a bit over the next couple of cycles.

Thank you so much again
