Hello, yesterday I tested at about 11.00am and got a pink faint but definitely there second line on an Internet cheapie within the right time allowance but this morning I tested with FMU with another Internet cheapie (same brand) bug got a negative! Any one experienced this before or is it my own fault for testing too early (I think I am on cycle day 25 now!) thank you!

Hi lola... yeah i guess its too early for you to tk hpt. You should wait for ur periods to come and if it doesnt arrive... wait for 2 weeks.... still if it doesn't ... it means you need to tk a hpt which def will give u the correct result... all the very best to you [happy]

It's happened to me a couple of times and means one of two things. Either you're pregnant and it's just so early that the limitations of the test (even in the same batch you get tests of different sensitivities) and concentration of your urine can give a false negative. Or with a chemical pregnancy you can pick up the hcg as it starts to develop but then it drops again as implantation fails to occur. This is the danger of early testing sadly. We didn't know how prevalent chemical pregnancies were until we had such widely available and sensitive tests. They happen in up to 50% of all cycles when ttc apparently.

All you can do is wait a few days and test again if necessary. Good luck!
