Sex after a miscarriage

Does anyone know when it's safe to start again? I know the guidelines on TTC but I hope purpose-free sex is allowed sooner - otherwise, it'll be a cheerless Christmas in the StJames household...

Once you stop bleeding its fine and if it was a 'normal' complication free miscarriage then you can start ttcing again straight away if you want to. They iften recomend you wait a month or until yoi have a period, but that is just to make it easier for dating purposes if you get preg straight away.

Docs at my hospital told me its fine to dtd once bleeding has stopped. Sorry for your loss, hope Christmas is a happier time for you

Thanks, both - and I think we'll be fine, Pink. I am just incredibly keen to go back to something approaching life as normal as soon as we reasonably can. I'm really grateful for your advice.
