January BFP bus - New Year resolution - get a bfp!

I guess it's time to start a January bus for all of us who had to get off the December, November (Oct, Sep, Aug) bus.

New Year, new beginning and hopefully start 2013 off with a bang, and a load of new bfp's!

New year and AF today so a bad start for me Sad but next AF due 28th so not out yet for January!

Congrats weechops and Jemima what a brilliant way to kick off 2013!!

I did a too early test yesterday and it was bfn, so abstaining from POAS until the weekend at the very least, bearing in mind I am not a good excretor of hcg

I've just told DH that this week needs to be a shagathon and his eyes lit up! It's good timing as he's got the week off work so he should be able to cope not be too tired. Wink

Congratulations to all of you getting us all hoping for a 2013 little one off to such a good start. It is so exciting!

I have had a rotten virus and only been taking a little paracetamol and getting out for long muddy walks rather than lazing around waiting to get better. Also spent NYE sober with only a little bubbly for a toast at midnight. I reckon I've done all I can for my BFP. Now for the 2 /3/4 stupid long cycles week wait! Smile

melody due next Monday (7th) and 10 DPO today, but I seriously do not excrete hcg ............ I was over a week late with DS before I got a feint line .......... mind you that was 16 years ago and times have changed!! lol

Does that mean you don't get morning sickness Padster? I've never heard of not secreting hcg. Does it have any side effects or make it harder to conceive?

Do your best not to test again. I find them such a waste of money if I test early so I make myself wait until AF is really late. AF, afterall, is nature's own pregnancy test!

Does someone on here whos better on computers than me know how to do an updated list for us on the bus. Ones still waiting for bfp & maybe add ones who got their bfp? :)

melody I have no idea. DS was conceived 16 years ago, long before such in depth info and internet forums. I just remember being 1 week late and getting the faintest of lines on a HPT. And yes I did get morning sickness ..... well it was 8am-8pm sickness up until week 12.

Congratulations Weechops & jemima! That's fab news to start 2013 with. I'm on CD14 still waiting for the OPK to give me a positive....did u guys do anything differently this month? Got any tips for the rest of us?

Angry at morning sickness for you Padster I was hoping you'd be able to escape that horrid feeling. Maybe with the improved sensitivity in tests nowadays, you'll get a clearer BFP.

chewinggum I use the first day my AF is due, as that's when normal sticks can be used. I don't like testing before AF is late anyway. Many says that's the reason behind the rise in miscarriage. Many women now know they are pregnant before it was possible before and that there a lot of miscarriage in the really early days. It already really does my head in imagining I'm pregnant in my 2ww till AF arrives (they don't come the same day every month)! I don't want more headaches.

This month I managed to dtd more often! Well dh was home from work the whole ovulating period Xmas Grin So we dtd cd11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19. Got +opk on cd14&15 so basically before ov, during ov and after ov seemed to have done the trick!

wow - congrats weechops and jemimah, fabulous new year news! and creamtea from Dec bus! cleo let us know how tomorrows test goes - hope it's a strong line. any symptoms in 2ww for us to obsess about look out for?

hope everyone had a great xmas and new year. i'm now starting the 2ww - managed to DD LOADS at mums over xmas around ov. was very awkward [fmmm] but needs must. so hoping 2013 starts with some good news.

my bro and sil announced on xmas eve that they're expecting. they got married a few mths after us, sil is 6 yrs younger and they must have had a successful first time attempt. very selfishly shed a few tears with envy. i am truly happy for them but had so wanted to be 1st. Xmas Sad
