Sorry to hear of your mc Mum.

I got pg the the first time I used the CB ov tests. I got my smiley face on the Tuesday morning and from my dating scan we conceived on the Friday, which was a bit longer than I had thought. So my advice is DTD on smiley day and then for at least 3 days afterwards so you have all bases covered! Good luck!!

Hi Mum. Sorry for your loss.

I tried a ridiculous variety of things in the 2 1/2 years we TTC'd. I never got on with the cheap ovulation tests but I did like the clearblue :) tests. However, when I did finally fall pregnant I knew my body signs so well I simply said to DH its about the right time, are you up for it?!. I'd recommend reading Taking charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler so you can look out for all the different signs that you're ovulating.

One piece of advice though - start DTD as soon as AF has gone and try to do it three times a week, every week to be in with the best chance of conceiving. According to my scan dates I fell pregnant from sex on CD6!

Hi mum I used I mix of internet cheap ones to check the run up to ov and confirmed the result on a cb smiley, saved a fortune that way. Good luck.

I've used the expensive ones and the internet cheapies, once I decided to use both as a micro test at home and they both showed the same result. So now I stick with the internet cheaies. I can poas 3 times a day for 10 days for less than £5!

Hi - I have tried the cheaper ones but prefer the CB ones as there is no chance of mis-interpreting the smiley face! You could try the suggestion of onemoreforgoodmeasure which is a great idea! There is lots of conflicting information about when is the best time to DTD when you are ovulating. AS far as I can see, one should start a few days before and keep going a few days afterwards...so am not sure how helpful it is knowing when we ovulate but I still check! Good luck.
