I have endometriosis and also my right tube is blocked which means that although i ovulate every month, the egg can not travel down to my womb on the months that i ovulate from my right - does that make sense??!!
Anyway, i have been keeping a track of my cycle for a few months and im starting to notice a pattern. My cycle is 31 days long and af arrives on time with no problems, however, every other month, i can go as long as 40 days and i spot for about 3 or 4 days before af arrives. Im trying to work out which month i ovulate from my 'good side' (!) i think that the longer cycle month maybe from my bad side. Anyone have any advice?

when you say your 31days long, but you go on for 40 days, do you mean you bleed for 9days?

i may have this wrong, but im sure my fertlity clinic told me that just cos we have two ovaries it dont mean you release an egg from left side one month and right side the next, it all depends which egg grew the right side...

ladies correct me if im wrong, like i say, i may have got it wrong.

nixz, have you tried taking your temperature? and using the website www.fertilityfriend.co.uk

that hopefully should help you pinpoint when you ovulate

thanks for your reply,
December - my cycle was 31 days long (from 1st day of last af to first day of next) January i went 41 days between af, feb went 31 days again etc etc.
I havent tried taking my temp, what do i need for that?
I know i ovulate, i have had numerous tests at the drs/hospital but sometimes my egg doesnt reach my womb because of the blockage (i think this is right?)

all you need is a thermometer, i think a basal thermometer is more accurate, im not sure, you would have to read up on it, mine was a normal one, and you jot down your temp on the fertility site and when theres a change in the pattern and temp rises, fertilityfriend will tell you when you ovulate....

can i just butt in and say that a very good friend of mine had endometriosis and was told she had a blocked tube also. She had a terrible time trying to convieve and gave up trying. As soon as she stopped all the temperature taking, charts etc she fell pregnant. She has got 3 kids now!!

A friend of mine suffers from quite severe Endo and has been operated on several times. She started visiting a lady in Brighton over the years for alternative therapy. She went to see her last year, got some treatment (herbal I think) and 6 weeks later was pregnant. Check out her testimonial on this site: www.brightonnaturalsolutions.co.uk

Hope it helps. Good luck Smile
