Post miscarriage cycle

Hi, I'm new here. Had 3 consecutive miscarriages in the first half of 2012. Literally had 1 period then got pregnant, cycle seemed to come back really quickly. Decided to stop trying for a while after 3rd MC (I have one DS, 21 months). This time had 3 periods really close togther (like 21 day cycle) last time was 28 day cycle which is normal for me, now I'm 3 days late. Is this normal after MC, as I'm slightly paranoid I'm not entering the menopause, which I don't want to do at 36 and wanting a big family! Oh and the last miscarriage was a missed miscarriage and I had the surgical procedure. Using barrier contraception.
Anyone had similar experience with their cycle?

hi HardlyEverHoovers im sorry to hear about your mc,s i have had one mc in september and it was 8 weeks before i got my first period back it was a delayed mc i didnt even know i was pregnant hope your okay :)

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage mumof2girls, looks like it varies quite a bit how quickly normal periods return.

yeah i think it def varies i forgot to mention that my mc was a natrual one that was my choice though

hi girls, sorry to hear about your miscarriages. it's such a horrible time. i also miscarried and had a d&c n 4th october and still no sign of my period returning. i asked this question an another thread earlier on actually, some said it was 3 months until AF appeared, some only 3 weeks. i wish mine would come back soon as i really want to ttc again asap

hi janiewoozle sorry to hear about ur mc aswell i got my af after 8 weeks however today im on day 30 and no sign of AF tested yesterday got what i thought was afaint pos re tested today and it was BFN :( just wish AF would hurry up so i can ttc again best of luck on ttc ladies

Hi, Hardlyeverhoovers, sorry to hear about your miscarriages 2012 must have been a trying time, and I hope 2013 is better for you. My experience is a bit different from yours as I had a second-trimester miscarriage, but I was told that my cycles could be irregular for a few months and to only worry if they were wildly irregular or didn't regularize in 5-6 months. Have had three periods after the miscarriage one 38 days after the first day of the miscarriage (but 29 days after stopping bleeding -- am still unsure which date to count from), then 30 days, then 26 days. Previously, my cycle was a clockwork 28-29 days, so I'm hoping it settles at that in a couple of months.

If you feel very concerned about this, why not see your GP and ask about it? It's always nice to get reassured by a professional as everyone's bodies are different.
