Falling pregnant while breastfeeding?

I have a 15mo DS and and am still feeding. He gets a quick feed when he wakes at night and one after his bath/ before bed. He's night weaned and I work during the day so he's not on the boob otherwise ... Apart from on my day off when e likes to try and feed if we're together and playing on the floor etc. my periods haven't come back and I'm thinking I will need to fully wean to make sure I can TTC number two. Understand though that some women do get pregnant even though they are still breastfeeding.

If you did, I was curious as to how often you fed and when during the day. I'm wondering if I can still feed DS and still conceive. Know we're all different so it won't be the same for all but I m curious how others have found this. Thanks!

If you're feeding so little, it's 15 months on and you still haven't had your period, are you sure you aren't pg already?

I'm sure it was in all the leaflets we were given after DS that it only protects against pg for 6 months ish.

I fell pregnant with dd2 when dd1 was 6 months old. It was 12 years ago, and I had already started weaning dd1 onto solids by then, but she was still bf 5-6 times a day, including a night feed.
I did have one (very light, almost un noticed) period before I fell with dd2.

My periods came back both times at 18 months and I fell pg just after my periods returned the first time. I was feeding at night, although it was less than before and on the 5 days I was home i fed more or less on demand.

I was bf ds twice a day at 12m. Ovulated day 2 post stopping cerazette and baby due soon as got preg with first egg. I had similar worries so was expecting to wait a while but was suprised when 2 lines appeared on test....found out when the vomiting started as just assumed my periods weren't back due to bf! Carried on bf while pregnant for a while. Stopped recently as couldn't face tandem feeding although fully respect those who do.

littleone it's here in this section. There are a few of us nursing mums ttc. And we have steady stream of graduates too.
