cycle help please

Sorry if this is tmi. But usually before I get full proper flow, I usually get spotting/bloody discharge, do I class the spotting as start if cycle or the full flow? I'm reading so many dif things? Thankyou x

The usual advice seems to be that the first day of full flow is Day 1 of your cycle.

Ahh ok thankyou i got so confused the lady at fam planning said start of spotting is classed as 1st day, but net generally said full flow. :) thank you

Hi beckie90, just wanted to say I have the same thing and sometimes it can be frustrating trying to decide which day should be day 1. Sometimes I think everything has 'kicked-off" only for it to unexpectedly stop again.

I find that keeping additional notes helps (e.g. Light spotting today) that way I can keep a track of what's happening and factor-in that I may actually be a day ahead or behind when working out fertile times etc.

I think the main thing is to try to be with the criteria you personally apply.
