A wordy fred title I know, but it's too early to think of something snappier!

Get ready for the end of the world: grab your OFRS, your emergency gin supply and join us shrivelled harridans in the BESH Bunker.

Admittance is only permitted on production of a successfully completed BESHtionnaire (hint, check out previous BESH threads)

Tis the tropical climate down sarf! Just frost here at present. Mind you, last time we had proper snow the entire it's ground to a halt - all the main roads in and out are on a steep hill. It took MSB 4 hours to get home from work! We couldn't get out of our village!

FriendofDorothy · 05/12/2012 09:43

Yeah. a few flakes of snow and the entire island grinds to a halt!

When I was living in Leeds about this time 2 years ago we had weeks and weeks of snow and ice. I was still excited every day despite it being so bloody inconvenient!

Northey · 05/12/2012 10:23

Ooh!! Just spoke to ivf clinic - my initial appointment and presentation thing is next Wed!

SinkyMalinks · 05/12/2012 10:43

Ooh! Your clinic moves quick!

I'm a week on Friday. Actually, 2 weeks on Friday, but I'm almost certain they'll want to try injectable induction first. Not sure how I feel about that.

Are you excited? (or scared? Is that just me?)

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 05/12/2012 13:43

Wow, great news norf! Things are progressing for you and sinks then. I imagine it's perfectly natural to be both excited and scared in this situation.

Northey · 05/12/2012 13:56

They are rushing me through, sinky, as I am nearly 35, and my funding expires then. Which is very good of them. I am completely excited and scared. But mostly excited. Argh!

Northey · 05/12/2012 13:58

What actually is injectable induction, btw?

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 05/12/2012 14:09

I have absolutely everything crossed for you both

good job am on sex ban

But seriously, this is scary/exciting stuff and I would hug you but I am afraid the zombies will breach the perimeter if we get distracted

SinkyMalinks · 05/12/2012 14:26

You know, ivf like drucks, to get ripe follicles then another to pop them. Then sechs away. I think it is thought to work even if clomid fails, but dunno really.

My clinic has told me my appointment time. That's it. No blood results from aug. no scan or SA result. Crap crap crap. but i did look up my bloods and scans. Obvs

SinkyMalinks · 05/12/2012 14:27

Oh, and no clue as to what this clinic (that I've been waiting 8 months for) is for.

Bastard clinic.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 05/12/2012 14:58

How confusing sink! Well it'll be an adventure when you go?!

Oh, oh, oh! I was nominated for that MNetty thank you Christmas thing (that I'd never heard of before!) and my gift arrived today! I am all emotional! I opened the card but am going to save the presents til Christmas! If it was one of you lot (!) I won't try to figure who but I am very grateful and chuffed to bits! Xmas Grin

There is this thing where you can nominate a MNetter who has been luffly to you over the year. Then you organise a gift for them! Today my gift arrived from a MNetter who appreciates me muchly! :)

Aspirin may well cause random spotting bugs, keep an eye on it. 1 in 16?! That's high!! Xmas Shock

Frankelstein · 05/12/2012 16:51

Sinks, the induction-thingy is what I'm doing. They call it "ovulation induction" at my clinic. It's not so bad and you don't have to inject as high quantities of the drucks as on IVF as they only want you to produce 1 or 2 good sized follicles, instead of dozens for harvesting.

You have to be wary of over stimulating, my clinic will call off the treatment if you put up more than 3 follies over 14mm - I had 1 @ 16mm, 1 @ 14mm and 1 @ 12mm, so just got away with it!

Northey · 05/12/2012 17:15

It wasn't me, faif, but I would have done if I'd known it existed. I did praise you a few months ago on here though www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/a1616353-MUMSNET-really-is-a-NEST-OF-VIPERS#thread

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 05/12/2012 17:19

norf I never saw that but you've just made me blub happy tears! Xmas Grin

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/12/2012 17:21

Well done faify!

Can we have a register? Who here is undergoing/about to undergo AC?

Me
Jethro
Norf....

.....carry on....

Northey · 05/12/2012 17:31

Sinky. What with her having mentioned it five posts ago...

Northey · 05/12/2012 17:32

Wonders in a fond and friendly way. Not a mean girlz way.

Northey · 05/12/2012 17:33

I can't believe we've all reached this point. Fucking hell.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/12/2012 17:35

Sorry Sinky. I thought I put you.

Northey · 05/12/2012 17:46

So...

Aries
Northey
Frankel
Jethro
Sinky

Is that it?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 05/12/2012 17:55

Me to AC that is just did the second self-stab. For a moment I thought it was just IVF-ers, but then Rie would need to discount herself.

Oh and faif you are lovely, lovely, lovely. So well deserved praise and nominating. It was not me, cos I had no idea it existed.

Ovulation induction with injectibles is what I do too sinky, but then the laxy (that is lax and lazy) sperm get put in there too by IUI. The drucks are less hard core but still give me headaches than for IVF.

Wow at the clinic rushing you through norf. It seems you're finally getting some help and being taken seriously!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 05/12/2012 17:57

Should we put in who is doing what my terrible memory clearly is a side effect too, we'll ignore the fact that it stays after treatment I know all except jethro to be fair.
