TTC, 5 days late and odd symptoms

Hi

Me and my partner have been trying to conceive for 2 months, not long I know but this month I have had some very odd symptoms. My last period was totally normal, 35 days after coming off my pill. I ovulated 20 days into my cycle, then had quite heavy, non period like bleeding on day 25, it was nothing like a period, a little thinner than usual blood and without clots (sorry for the excess information). I'm now 5 days late, did a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative. I'm having a few odd symptoms, including, lower back pain, periods of feeling a bit light headed, I'm more tired than usual and I'm having dull aches/light cramps in my lower abdomen, not like period pain much much lighter.

I don't see how I can be pregnant if the test is negative but not sure if these are symptoms I should worry about?

All thoughts/suggestions welcome. I will go to my doctor but want to ideally leave it another week, I don't want to seem like a crazy woman running to the doctor at the slightest thing.

Hope someone out their has been through something similar and can shed some light for me.

Many thanks :-)

It could be that your body is still readjusting after coming off the pill.

If you still don't get your period in the next week, re-test as you could possibly get a positive result. If no period and still a negative result, go to your GP.

HTH

Hi Molotov, I guess it could be, seems a bit odd though, esp as I was fine last month? I guess I'm a bit worried that it is the something else, a cyst or something. I shall live in hope for another week I think and then go to the doctor. Thanks again

Try not to worry, as it can take a few cycles for your body to reregulate. This can vary, and may depend on what type of pill you've been using, and for how long.

You're bound to be extra-conscious whilst TTC, too.

Sincere best wishes x
