Lmp was 7th nov, have a 32 day cycle. According to online calculators I am fertile wed 21st to Sun 25th..but opk say I'm not ov.

I stopped bfing almost 5 months ago so surely my cycles should be back to normal and I should be ovulating?

Hi! there are a few options.
-You are on cycle day 17 of 32. If you had a shortish luteal phase you might ovulate as late as cd22, so keep going with the opks
-you might have missed the surge, they can be quite short sometimes, or your wee might just have been dilute. Which opks are you using?
-you may be having a longer cycle this month, esp if you stopped breastfeeding not all that long ago. Even for people with regular cycles this does sometimes happen.

Suggest keep dtd, and keep going with the opks. Some people swear by temping as well, but i hated it. Could be worth a try for a couple of months though.

Good luck.

Thank you keep I'll keep going with the opk until af arrives. Am currently using the clear blue 7 day tests, have used three so far so only 4 left. After that I will buy the 20 day pack.

My cm hasnt changed either.

Some months I feel ovulation pain, other months nothing. Could I only be ovulating every other month potentially?

They're supposed to be quite good, i think, but i've never used them. I would think you'll get the surge within the next 4 days. Of course it's possible that you surged before you started as well, but i guess unlikely given your cm.

It might be worth using the cheapie ov sticks from amazing (poss as well as cb) for a couple of cycles then you can use the expensive ones when you know more when you ovulate.

I guess it's possible you only ov every other month or so, but I think if you have periods it usually (but not always) means that you have ovulated. I don't think ov pain is much of an indicator though. I have different things each month too - some months really sore boobs, others nothing. I think it's just nature's way of toying with us!

Great advice, thanks keep. I'll keep using the currentsl opk, when it runs out I'll get the 20 pack in the event I still havent ov, and take them until af arrives. Next cycle I will use both cb opk and cheapie amazon.

Fingers cross I ov in the next 4 days.

Than you.

if you dont get one at all dont despair. i think i have a very short surge so missed it some months. doing them twice a day helped for me but still never before cd18.

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 24/11/2012 12:05

Cd18 and still a neg on opk. Really.worried I'm not ov now! Cb Opk are so expensive not sure I can afford to do it twice a day. Will buy some amazon cheapies to do alongside cb.

Don't give up yet Love, i felt like giving up yesterday (cd20) as i still hadn't got a positive opk - according to the online calculators i should have ov'ed on the 21st - but no sigh!? Still had a few sticks (clear blue digital) left, so i carried on using them and then got a positive opk this morning. :)

Fx you ov soon :)
