Hi everyone. Sorry I've been quiet lately. Just wanted to let you know that I got my BFP yesterday after my first cycle of Clomid. Can't believe it but being cautious as very early days and I've have 3 chemicals on the last year.

Doobeedee thats great news! Can I ask how you're feeling, any symptoms? On first round of clomid too but don't feel any different so guessing its going to be a BFN.

Viv - its not my GP, its my fertility specialist lol!!!!! Shes also really sarcastic. I think she thinks shes funny but I generally leave feeling stupid

No symptoms at all. Still not even 4 weeks until tomorrow though. Most people say symptoms don't even start until 6 weeks anyway. Got BFP on Wed at 11dpo but was a decent line do I reckon I would have got it earlier had I tested. I was late as my luteal phase was only 9-10 days before. 13dpo today and got a really good line on a less sensitive test.

Right, I'm going to test tomorrow then. Wish me luck, Lord know I've tried this month lol xxx

i had my 'day 21' blood test yesterday, im just wondering how long do they normally take to come back and what levels should they be to show i have ovulated?
i have got to repeat the test on tuesday as i normally ovulate late and they wanted to have a clearer pic of what my body is doing.
im not expecting fridays to be at an ovulatinbg level but just wanted to know what they should be to show ovulation

When I have mine at the beginning of the week the results are usually back by the end of the week. My docs and fertility specialist like to see 30 as a result but some day lower. When mine came back at 22 it said "low luteal function"

Well I feel like im about to lose the plot at anytime. I have done a cheapie test cd 35 today, it was a strip test that u leave in the urine for 3 mins, v strange.

My ex had a baby tuesday with his new wife and my girls have gone there for the weekend. They are happy to have a new sister. At the same time I am (envy) at how they manage to have a baby after the first month of trying. I feel awful, dont wanna say too much to dh as he will think im a loon but im so down x

iv been havin bad cramps really low down (simular to when i fell preg with my son) and sore boobs for 2 days and wonder can this happen because of the clomid? i dnt want to be gettin my hopes up

I'm currently on cd 23 of 100g clomid and waiting to hear about my blood test results ( if they ever answer their phone!!)

Just got my results and they were 59.5 and tht was only 4dpo! So happy I have acctually ovulated

That's good news! Did you start on 100mg? I've been told to start with 50mg and they are doing a scan on Friday. No action until then :(

Thanks, yeh I started on 100 as I hadn't ovulated in around 2 years and have pcos, when I went for my scan I had 1 follicle but have heard about people on 50 that get 2-3. It's frustrating having to wait all the time but least you will know if its working for you :-)

Well that was a waste of time!!!! My clomid journey is over the specialist won't do anything until I have lost weight I'm utter heart broken. If anyone has got any spare clomid feel free to send it to me I would do anything to get hold if it. Even sell a kidney.

Annalou, I'm so sorry. Does he mean you're too overweight for IVF etc? You can buy Clomid easy-peasy over the Internet (not that I would encourage that sort of thing). I would deffo try to tackle your weight - it will make everything so much harder x

Sarah, congrats on the ovulation! The sore boobs and weird cramps are all par for the course on Clomid, I'm afraid. It's simply the high progesterone levels post-ovulation.

Welcome, Slippy, were you ovulating before Clomid? PCOS? What's your story (age/ttc journey)?

Annalou - if you do decide to get them off the net, you won't have any monitoring / scanning not that my consultant is bothering to scan me

guys - my doc requested a 23 day blood test, not 21, does that sound normal?
