sperm test

We are having a sa done and I know we must abstain for 48 hours before...I was wondering though whether it's ok not to, erm, expel fluids for like four days before...will it cloud the test? We forgot to ask...dh is too tired at the moment but if we don't tonight then we would be in the 48 hour window. Thanks.

I think different hospitals say different things. I think where we were tested said 2-6 days of abstaining.

He can clear the pipes in other ways though - you don't have to dtd if you are knackered!
