I had bleeding around 5 weeks mrsd i think it is the right time for implantation.

Hope everything is ok jolly i will be thinking about you today.

I have got a scan tomorrow - will be 23 weeks. i am shitting it as i keep talking myself out of anything i can feel being the babys movements. i could get my midwife to come round tonight to listen in will ring her later for a chat and see what she thinks. i might just need some to talk some sense into me!

BraveLilBear · 05/12/2012 10:24

How are you doing JollyB and MrsD?

Pebs give her a ring, I'm sure she'll be able to reassure you.

Thanks for that link HJ I had an epic fail in my own googling, so found that an interesting read. About 3% total chance of a mmc discovered at scan, which I find a bit reassuring. If there was a 97% chance of winning the lottery, you wouldn't think twice about buying a ticket, would you? Smile

Jollyb · 05/12/2012 13:13

Well amazingly the scan was ok - baby and hb still present. The sonographer thought she could see an area of bleeding close to the sac. I really can't believe it as there was so much blood.

Just taking it day by day now. I'm going to stay off work this week. They've booked me another scan for 2 weeks time.

mrs d how are you doing?

Wonderfully news jolly, so glad to hear it. Smile

MumTumWanted · 05/12/2012 13:36

Yay jolly fab news try to take it easy and look after yourself x

pebspop · 05/12/2012 13:46

relieved to hear that jolly surprising what these little ones can survive through sometimes!

i rang my midwife and she is going to come around in the morning before i go to the hospital. not feeling too bad at the moment. she did say i would know if anything had gone wrong at this stage but telling that to someone who had mmc at 20 weeks isn't very reassuring.

LittleSpade · 05/12/2012 14:03

Great news Jolly - take things easy!

BraveLilBear · 05/12/2012 14:53

Fab news Jolly you've got a tough little bean there!

And so pleased the mw is coming round to ease your worries pebs so glad they're looking after you Smile

BelissimaLol · 05/12/2012 16:34

That's excellent news jolly! How far along are you now? When is next scan?

Jollyb · 05/12/2012 16:46

Thanks everyone. bella I'm 6 +2 today. Next scan in 2 weeks. Strangely my bleeding has completely stopped now. wonder whether I had an implantation bleed and have now expelled the clot. God it's going to be a long 33 weeks. .

pebs hope everything goes well tomorrow. Hopefully you'll soon settle into a pattern of movements despite your pesky placenta. If not, keep doing what you're doing - that's what your midwife is there for. With your history no one is going to think you're wasting their time x

Hi all. Still getting some "stuff" off and on. No real pain though and other symptoms still in play. Docs tomorrow.

Glad all is good with you jolly and that your midwife is being so lovely pebs. Mine was a total legend with DS. A good one is worth their weight in gold.

Clairey2012 · 05/12/2012 18:58

Hi peeps, an people giv me their personal experience ov how long it took them to get their AF after mc. Its been 6 weeks and still counting, no sighn ov it at all. Mc at 8 ih weeks, only bled for a week.x

YikesHereWeGo · 05/12/2012 19:20

Great news jolly, so pleased for you!!!!! xx

lurcherlover · 05/12/2012 21:42

Wonderful news jolly! Really pleased for you.

Good luck for tomorrow, pebs. I'm sure everythign will be fine.

Clairey, I had an erpc after my mc and got AF five weeks later, but they told me it could take longer. After that I had a really, really long cycle (was still waiting for AF at about 7 weeks) but it turned out I was pg again - but I had been doing regular tests and getting negatives until very late in the cycle, and then an early scan showed I was only five weeks - so I must have ovulated really late, probably around day 28! So don't think a late AF is necessarily a sign of nothing happening - you can still ov much later than usual in your cycles. If you're ttc again, just dtd regularly and take tests every few days would be my advice.

cogitosum · 05/12/2012 22:28

Excellent jolly really pleased it's ok

Clairey2012 · 06/12/2012 06:44

Thanks lurcherlover, good advice, will do, my last pregnancy took ages to show up. Time will tell.x

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 10:29

Fx for pebs and MrsD today... hope all is good.

Mrsd77 · 06/12/2012 10:43

Thanks brave. I've not gone into work today. Stuff less diluted in night and first thing and been achy. Wondering if feel achy due to massive c section scar from DS? Dunno. Still hoping. Docs later.

Jollyb · 06/12/2012 12:18

Hope everthing's ok mrsd. Let us know how your trip to the doctors goes. How far along are you ~ ? 5 weeks. If so it wouldn't be unreasonable for you to go to your EPU for a scan.

Little bit of brown 'debris' this am. Nothing very exciting though so fingers crossed all ok. Feeling shattered and queasy which is a good sign.

Psyching myself up to contact the midwifery team. In a way I'd rather wait til after my next scan but I think I'd better get on their books so they can book my 12 week nuchal scan.

pebs. How did your scan go? X

YikesHereWeGo · 06/12/2012 12:46

Yay - successful scan today. Baby measured 6w5d and had a good heartbeat. Have booked in for my 12 week scan on 10 Jan. Eek. Will get consultant care too as am 'high risk' so am hoping this baby gets well looked after. Really don't want to have to go back to square one again so am going to keep my legs crossed for the next 5 weeks.

Mrsd77 · 06/12/2012 13:16

Thanks Jolly. Will see what doc thinks. I'm trying to be pragmatic about it all. Just poa cbd and got 3+. Pleasantly surprised as best I was hoping for was 2-3 as only 5 weeks today.

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 14:57

Yay for Yikes that all sounds good! Sniggering slightly at thought of keeping legs crossed til middle of January. But that's because I'm being especially peurile today Grin

That's a good sign MrsD hopefully the docs will be able to shed more light on everything. Keep us posted!

pebspop · 06/12/2012 16:31

scan was fine. midwife came around this morning to listen in before i went to hospital.

booked in for my flu jab. never had one before so i hope it doesn't make me ill.

glad the scan went well yikes

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 17:23

Xmas Grin for Pebs. That is all!

BelissimaLol · 06/12/2012 17:23

What's the earliest a scan can pick up a hb? My next scan is Friday next week and I will be 6+5 hopefully. What should I expect? I feel fine and a lot better since scan on Monday but am already scared!
