Could I be pregnant?

I could have been pregnant this month because we had an accident with a condom 5 days before ovulation. My period arrived exactly 14 days after ovulation (which I felt). My period was very light and lasted only a couple of days. Didn't think anything of it. Today - 3 days after it stopped I have had really bad period pains again and lower back pain. What is going on? Anyone else get this? Anyone had a light bleed and still been pregnant? Reluctant to waste money on a pregnancy test because I did have a period.

It is common to bleed at some point in early pregnancy and go on to have a healthy normal full term pregnancy.

Do a test. No-one on here can confirm whether you are or are not.

I had a light bleed when I was PG with DS. As NDP says, only way you can find out if you are PG is to do a test. Home and Bargain do very cheap basic tests for £1.

NdP - agree no-one can tell me - it's just I have never had any bleeding in pregnancy before.....

You've made me think I must test.....

Sorry, three already, I didn't mean to come across as short and a bit 'barky' (reading it back it looks like I was being sarcastic). I bled when preg with DD, I know lots of other mumswho bled during their pregs to and ended up with a healthy baby at the end of it. It is really common.

I did bleed, but not much. I have had three pregnancies with no bleeding, so am 99% convinced I am not pregnant. Was wondering about the pains I am now getting....

... yep, me and my 1,2 and 3 year olds are off to buy a pregnancy test. Suggest I might get a funny look or two. "Who me? No.... it's for my sister...." Wink
