TTC - but not sure if my body is ready

Hi all,

I had my implant taken out on the 8th October, and had my last period on the 14th September, but I've had no period since, DP and I have been happily practicing TTC, but I'm not sure if we will even be able to concieve until my period returns.

Could it be possible that we managed to fall pg before the implant was actually removed (as I would have been ovulating around the 24th)

For anyone suggesting POAS I will do tomorrow morning, but I was hoping for some thoughts while I drive myself mad trying not to think about poas.

I would have thought it was unlikely that you would have fallen pg before you had your implant removed, although the contraceptive aspect of the implant ceases as soon as it is taken out, it is going to take your body some time to regularise itself into a routine cycle again.

Your periods while on the implant won't be necessarily in line with your natural cycles, so you will probably need to give it a couple of months to let your body settle down, although everyone is different, and it takes different amounts of time to settle back into some sort of regularity (if at all).

Thanks Ellypoo for replying, I think I'm just frustrated as the nurse said as soon as it was out everything would be back to normal immidiately, and I would really like to fall pg pre xmas (as the rest of my family are all born between september and november and it's already a very expensive time of year - without adding another b-day) although I guess we all know nature never does what we want it to :)
