I am on the Clearblue CBFM trial, this means that they have sent me a CBFM and all the sticks to use for 3 cycles.
However I was already using the CBFM, so now I have two.
Each morning I have been using their one first and then putting the stick into my one.
This morning I was sure I was going to get a peak. All the other signs seemed to point to it and the CBFM stick had two clear lines. On the CBFM from Clearblue I had a peak, but on my one I just had a high.
I don't know why there was a difference. The Clearblue provided one was done first, and therefore about 5 minutes before the other, and my one was in the dark whereas the Clearblue one was in the light.

What ever the reason though, I just thought I would share it. So is you don't get a peak, it doesn't mean you're not ovulating. Also, when you have a high, keep at it!

You might also wish to know that my Clearblue provided one has now stopped asking for sticks.
However my original one still says high!

Thanku for posting this, I've been driving myself a bit mad with he fact that last cycle I didn't peak, but having read a bit online, it seems that u can not get a peak & still ovulate.
But you are the first person who actually has a comparison & now I will stop worrying (or at least I'll try to!!) Grin

No matter what Clearblue say the CBFM is far from infallible. It is good, and I'm glad that the default for the second one seems to be high so you still shag enough, but I'm sure I ov'd when the first CBFM said as both my OPK sticks and CF agreed.

Hi - this is so great to hear! I've been ttc using a CBFM for 8 months now and this month have had 12 days of high (now at CD21) and no peak, which is different to my usual cycle (O ~CD18 with a couple of days high before and AF CD32). I've been freaking out thinking something is wrong! X

Pipbin · 25/10/2012 12:50

I'm still getting highs on the second CBFM even though I'm 9dpo now.

Ch. That's just silly! Are you sure you're not pregnant? Apparently if you are you come up long term as high or peak on the monitor. (Don't want to get your hopes up - know what that feels like - but worth mentioning...)

Pipbin · 25/10/2012 15:20

The thought has crossed my mind. However I think if it doesn't detect OV then it defaults to 'shag anyway mode'.

Oh.... That's where mine has got to I think....

mumbags · 26/10/2012 14:17

Got my egg this morning Grin

Pipbin · 26/10/2012 17:46

Oh really! Well good news for you. Get shagging!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 27/10/2012 10:14

Mine was high all last month - then went to low and test now 'm' appeared.
This month it detected a peak - who knows what happened last month?!!
See what happens next cycle.

Being slightly worried about a lack of peak, I also used the clear blue sticks that show a smiley. The smiley showed on Sunday eve, and the peak was detected on the cbfm the next morning.

Pipbin · 27/10/2012 12:58

I had a high again today, at 11DPO with spotting!

Pip it sounds really promising, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Pipbin · 27/10/2012 22:19

I'm 100% sure I'm out Winkle, I'm only still testing because I don't pay for the sticks and it'll help others.

You know your own body pip :)

BuntyCollocks · 28/10/2012 07:22

Just to let you know - my second month of using the cbfm I had no peak. I had highs from day 8 onward (poor DH). I gave up 'trying' that month on day 18 as we were both sore!

31 weeks pregnant as of Friday past :)

mumbags · 28/10/2012 08:46

Oh well done bunty!! That's also very encouraging. So did you get preggers in the month you gave up trying?? Or were you already that month, hence all the highs? So pleased for you! X

Pipbin · 28/10/2012 08:57

Still spotting today. CBFM gave me a low and suggested that my period may have started as this is day 28.

BuntyCollocks · 28/10/2012 09:20

I was pregnant the month I got all highs - think I must have ovulated very early that month and the monitor missed it.

winkle2 · 06/11/2012 13:55

I'm on cd18 and have all highs this month so fx the same thing happens to me!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 06/11/2012 14:00

I didn't get my peak until day 21 winkle so it may be that you haven't oved yet, there's still time. Fx for u Smile

winkle2 · 06/11/2012 16:29

Argh I've run out of sticks!

Pipbin · 06/11/2012 21:20
