TTC after recent mc - Thread 2

Hi everyone - I've started the new thread as our original one is nearly full.

I really hope that this is the one where we all get our BFPs and don't have to experience any more heartache.

Right ladies, I'm off for a long weekend :) I would like to see all those waiting for something (be it BFP or af) getting that by the time I am back! I am off to drink shed loads of Prosecco before jumping back on the dtd waggon . Looking forward to catching up on progress when I back!

I'm not feeling so bad, thanks for asking, a bit acidy but that is becoming normal! Had a very hormonal moment last night when OH announced that some freinds had announced they were expecting on Fbook - was so shocked and a teensy bit jealous that they're through the stressy time that got all upset... especially when he said he'd told them we were expecting too!

Have now come to my senses and am reacting like a normal friendly human again, but felt like such a cow last night. Didn't help that their dates are very similar to what would have been my due date previously. And that we really didn't expect them to be on the babymaking radar.

You feel bad at 'evil bear' for that? I am waay worse! I freaked out totally to hear of OH's brother's latest 3d scan and all the details of how the baby had his hand over his face blah blah blah. Admittedly learning of this on day of mmc scan isn't great timing but still, rest assured I am definitely a bigger evilcat!

I want an emoticon for evil cat. That would be awesome. Not that that was evil - in any way shape or form. That falls under 'totally reasonable reaction to ill-timed news of a grief-stricken cat'. Next to that, mine translates to 'spoilt brat territory'.

Seriously though, that supersucks. Hope they are being supportive...

They don't know actually, and I'm happy for it to stay that way, but it's up to OH if he wants to tell them.

I think yours is still reasonable, particularly bearing in mind the mc AND the fact you are a whirling dervish of crazy hormones at the moment.

Posy Yes to the faint BFP!! Last time around those Asda jobbies were the ones that showed up first. What DPO are you? If I have got my dates right (who knows) I will be due 6th August ish so thinking I can escape at least beginning of July! I might have to have an early c-section because of my kidneys so it may even be sooner...count down will begin in Jan!

Lol that is great news! I did another CB digi a few days ago and it was still 1-2 so trying not to panic. I am 5 weeks+1 according to FF but not sure if it is a bit less. Going to try again at the weekend and hope it has gone up!

Sorry to everyone having WTF cycles and delayed AF's. I felt like mine was coming and going for quite awhile. I think I had random spotting then a few days later bam!

Hi almond I think you are a couple of days behind me. I think I'm 5+3 and only found the guts to do digi today. So def wait till the weekend and not panic. This whole thing is exhausting!!! I'm counting days till scan. 9 days. Hoping ill relax after that bug somehow I doubt it.

Anyone else wana share how long it took afta mc to get AF? Please help.x

Funny you say that as the few people who know about it seem to think its happened awfully quick! But when you ttc you know.
Tbh I was gutted in sep when af came and after that decided to relax a bit. Still did opk etc but tried to carry on as normal. Still went out, had a few drinks, planned holidays as if nothing was happening. It was an actual shock to get it this month. It's only the third one so I guess I have been lucky.
Don't put too much pressure on yourself is the best advice I can give you. You need time to recover from mc first. Try and take it a bit easy and wait for bfn/af before you start again. It will happen again

I am on knicker watch (sorry tmi) in case I start bleeding. I am shatered and feeling nauseas already, which I have to admit I am quite enjoying for now!

Almond I didn't realise you got your bfp. Yay! I am due 16th Aug but just trying to take it one day at a time eek impossible!
Clairey I got my af about 32 days after mc which was pretty lucky as my cycles are 31 days.

clairey I think unfortunately it can take longer than 6 weeks but the advice I got was if no af after 6 weeks then to do a hpt. Maybe worth a ring to the clinic just for peace of mind?

almond definitely try not to panic re digi I reckon. Definitely give it a bit longer, and don't forget theyre an indication not a definite science.

blundercats I'm not sure I want to see the emoticon for supersucks! I think we all have just cause to be a little bit evil sometimes. I am definitely an evil Peanut on occasion, and have lots of highly strung evil strops at the slightest provocation.

almond am going to try and hold out until 12th, although there's every chance I'll break before then! fx your digi goes up soon but don't worry too much about it, they're not super reliable at the best of times.

clairey AF is an unpredictable bitch on this thread! It took 12 weeks for mine to come back, MC beginning Aug, had a weird 'nearly' bleed in October and a proper AF in November, now hoping for a BFP before Christmas. but obviously not obsessing at all For some people it came back straight away though, there's just no way of knowing which camp you're going to be in I'm afraid x

For those who are interested, the dog thinks I'm AMAZING because she got so many treats during the shoot. The cats aren't speaking to me at all.
