Hi everyone - I've started the new thread as our original one is nearly full.

I really hope that this is the one where we all get our BFPs and don't have to experience any more heartache.

Hi Brie
Af due 24th for me but I'm planning to hold on until 26th at least before I poas.

BrieMonster · 19/11/2012 08:29

Ok lol I'll let you go first! Fingers crossed for you.

andadietcoke · 19/11/2012 08:37

Hi everyone. This not trying is a nightmare. Got very excited to find some 'lovely' EWCM yesterday and it's just wasted. However, it does mean that things are back on track, and I should see AF at the beginning of December. It does mean another holiday during a 2ww (after swearing blind next time I'll be incredibly virtuous) but we'll see. Maybe a nice new year present...

GaryBuseysTeeth · 19/11/2012 09:04

Morning all!!

Fingers crossed for everyone poas this week.

I'm not going to test this cycle (although it does all seem to be back to normal). so hopefully I'll be in for a surprise in 9 months Grin
Making a checklist of all the pregnancy unsafe food I'll be eating over Christmas; pate three times a day you say? challenge accepted!

echo, well done on joining the protest, the photos looked like there were loads of people there!

Hope everyone has a good week.

KittyBump · 19/11/2012 11:24

Hiya, thundercats I have no idea why she said 4 weeks, though she couldn't bring herself to say the word sex, she had to mouth it to me like this so perhaps she was being a little over cautious :)
Also one of the nurses mouthed to me when explaining about the insertion of the first lot of tablets - seriously I have heard the word before and we are in a private room?! I lost count of the amount of medical staff who felt the need to tell me the first lot of tablets were inserted in the vagaina. There must have been a situation were someone freaked out when they came in to 'administer' the first lot of tablets and started heading for the bottom of the bed!
lol and brie I'll be testing around then too but hoping for a BFN :)

BraveLilBear · 19/11/2012 12:14

Good morning everyone. AF is still stalking me, but hasn't shown yet. Pains getting stronger every day but really very bizarre tbh.

Similar to usual AF pains, but werid in that normally I only get them a bit day before arrival, fairly strong on actual day of arrival and then moderate on day 2. This time, been having mild pains since Thursday, getting stronger and stronger, but nowt to report just yet.

Anyone else had this the cycle after a chemical pg? It's just weird. Confused It's like it's forgotten how to get rid of stuff or is having very half-hearted attempt then giving up. But pains totally different to when I was pg, so am sure it's not that.

Great that everything went as well as possible KittyBump is the 4 weeks due to risk of infection? Maybe you could phone and check for clarification as it is very random.

Sorry about the constant reminders GBT that's terrible. Must be very upsetting. I had a moment the other day, someone in RL was talking about Christmas and it hit em that if everything had gone right, we had been planning tell the family at Christmas as I would be about 14 weeks. Bah.

Exciting dream Lol - and hope you get a clearer view of the lights too!

Hi to everyone else

messtins · 19/11/2012 13:34

Kittybump you made me laugh - makes me think of Miranda's mum on the sitcom. It was probably me who freaked looked a bit Confused after several doctors had said I had to "take" the tablets and then the nurse approached wielding a tampon!

messtins · 19/11/2012 13:35

I read a very moving article in Red magazine by a woman who has had five MC and has now set up an organisation which arranges memorial services for anyone who has lost a baby in pregnancy or early infancy. They will be held in cathedrals but are for people of any faith or none. Thought some of you might be interested. Details here www.sayinggoodbye.org

SallysTrying · 19/11/2012 15:01

Hey all!

AF got me on Thursday, so after a few days of sulking (and wine) I'm back to it. Half hoping for a BFP for Christmas and half thinking that I'd have to let on to my family at six weeks if it worked (if I show up for Christmas and turn down the alcohol and other non-preg safe stuff it'd give the game away immediately...) which would be less than ideal. Plus, you know, no alcohol.

Good luck to everybody getting ready to poas.

andadietcoke · 19/11/2012 15:31

I'm also a wine sulker post a BFN/AF arrival Sally. Fx for next month.

Thundercatsarego · 19/11/2012 22:19

Grin at medical professionals ( and those who work with pregnant women ) not being able to say sex or vagina out loud

BraveLilBear · 20/11/2012 10:17

Lol at the shy nurse... Reminds me of the time I was having some dental work done (reluctantly, I have a huge dentist phobia and finally manned up enough to even get that far) - I think I was having a tooth out.

Half way through, the dental nurse just walked, very quckly, out of the room. Didn't say anything, but the dentist muttered something as she went and she nodded and I was like WTF, is something wrong?!?!

Turns out she felt faint at the sight of blood. For real.

Thundercatsarego · 20/11/2012 11:08

Talk about being in the wrong profession!

andadietcoke · 20/11/2012 14:00

Heehee. My friend had a c-section last week and the medical student fainted. She was apologising to him for being so disgusting!! Poor thing. He was horrified at fainting.

BrieMonster · 20/11/2012 16:51

Well my resolve lastest all of a day.. Just got a wee BFP. Delighted of course but all too aware of the ways a "1-2 week" positive can go.

Positive peeing vibes out to you now lol... Sorry I got too impatient.

Thundercatsarego · 20/11/2012 16:53

oooooo! Grin Brie keeping it low key though of course

YorkshirePeanut · 20/11/2012 17:04

Yay Brie congrats! FX for a sticky one! xxx

All the guys laughing at the med student...I'd laugh too, but I've been that student, fainted in the first C-section I scrubbed for. I've been in theatre loads of times but scrubbed in with all the gear on and under the lights, having missed breakfast and lunch....nearly landed on the poor woman. Mortified does not begin to cover it! Luckily hasn't happened again Grin. On the bright side, I'm amazing at saying 'vagina'!

Sally guess you're pretty much synced with me then, I'm also not sure if I want to give it my full effort this month. Timing wise it'd be awful, not only with Christmas boozing but I graduate in Sept next year so if I fell on now I'd be a month shy of graduating when I went on mat leave - gutted! So I'm probably going to try and leave the sticks alone and go for a que sera sera attitude this month will probably break and wee on a stick by the end of next week

lol did you see the lights again? So jealous, would LOVE to see them x

BraveLilBear · 20/11/2012 17:19

I'm sniggering at image of YorksPeanut practising and then being complimented on, her saying 'vagina'. Grin awesome skills!

Congrats Brie Fx it sticks! Yep, 1-2 weeks may not always be the greatest sight but, every pg starts off with that at some stage, right?

andadietcoke · 20/11/2012 17:39

Brie congratulations!! Lots of love and luck for the next few weeks. What cycle was this post-mc?

YorkshirePeanut I'm sure it happens in every hospital every day - I can't even talk - I knew I was pg when I lost my lunch watching an anatomy demonstration I think I've seen countless times before! It just made me laugh because my friend felt so guilty that she was responsible for it!

BrieMonster · 20/11/2012 18:47

Thanks everyone, funny how excited I get for others here and in RL but for myself I just feel like holding my breath for the next 5 months or so! Was my second I guess dietcoke, mc on 24th sept and was told to wait for next bleed which was a calendar month later. We didn't actively follow this advice, but neither of us really felt up to much straight after the mc. And yet I somehow expected to get pregnant last month anyway after being told how super fertile I would be!

messtins · 20/11/2012 19:10

Congratulations Brie. Hope you have a very uneventfull ride to full term. Also hope it's the first of a little flurry of BFPs...

KittyBump · 20/11/2012 20:23

Ooh that's excellent news Brie I will cross everything for you :)
Ha at all the fainting and running away medics! I like the bit about the dentist muttering under his breath - I bet that dental nurse didn't last long!
Good Luck to everyone else testing x

YorkshirePeanut · 20/11/2012 20:57

Bear seriously, my poker-faced delivery is brilliant.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 20/11/2012 21:33

Everything crossed for you Brie, brilliant news.
Although you'll have to forgo being the brie monster for 9 months, which means more brie for everyone else, everyone wins! Grin

messtins, thanks for that link. Was it the current Red issue? Sounds really interesting, I may go to one next year (can't make the one at St Pauls).

Bear, I guess you're too far along this cycle, but I had bloody awful ovulation pains this month, felt like I'd been punched in the stomach...how are you feeling now?

Wine for Sally and others awaiting AF, I will be drinking this weekend as I expect AF around then.

MunchinMango · 20/11/2012 21:46
