Hi y'all, Welcome to our new meeting place :-) Let's refresh as usual -

Bunnygirlie - 32, married, TTC since June, due to OV this week according to app

OP posts:
Pipbin · 11/11/2012 11:02

I think that conceive plus is the problem. He's saying that he's not feeling anything. We don't normally use anything at all.
I'm cd 12 and just got a high on the CBFM. I'll apply my best feminine wiles tonight and see what I can manage.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 11/11/2012 14:55

pip that almost happened here too. Maybe reduce the amount drastically?

Pipbin · 11/11/2012 16:54

but I was only using a drop. He tells me its all to do with angles!

Quodlibet · 11/11/2012 17:22

The angle of the dangle?

Quodlibet · 11/11/2012 17:23

Sorry that's not a serious question. How annoying Pip. Maybe he is feeling the mental pressure and it's coming out in funny ways?

Pipbin · 11/11/2012 17:37

It's not coming out at all, thats the problem!

I don't know what the issue is I don't think either of us are feeling all that well right now and that doesn't help.

Bunnygirlie · 11/11/2012 18:13

Sorry to hear that Pip, we had had that last month, hubby had stressful week so it wasn't happening :-(

captainmoll · 11/11/2012 23:42

Cd 11 here, no sign of anything yet on OV sticks etc, but dh is uber stressed at the mo, so Pip, I may well be in the same boat when it gets to dtd day. It is really tough having to write off a cycle. Been there a few times in the last year. In my case it's not so much losing mojo part way as falling totally unconscious the second his head hits the pillow! Easier said than done, but trying to play down the conception element might help?Hmm I had a good heart-to-heart with a male friend who recently became a dad, and even though it only took them three cycles to conceive, he said the pressure to perform was really intense and stressful.
Oh, it's all so complicated! Good luck everyone!

BraveLilBear · 12/11/2012 10:47

Big sympathies to everyone not able to board the boat of love. It's a huge relief to hear other people mention this! I thought it was just us Blush

We quite often forego amorous activity as OH doesn't appear to have the mojo he used to, partly because he's put weight on and isn't as fit, and partly because he's currently driving an hour each way for work and is doing some weird hours that tire him out.

Saturday night we had some glasses of Wine over tea and Sunday morning he had an 'alcohol-induced migraine'. Which, needless to say, wasn't a migraine. Wasn't even a tension headache. It was a hangover.

The upshot is (or rather, no-shot) that even our Sunday morning 'banker' went out the window. Very annoying.

Bunnygirlie · 12/11/2012 12:52

Hey ladies.

So Brave, Captain & Pip are you all on DTD week too?

My apps say anytime between 14th and 16th so will be using ov sticks this week. I have a really funny tummy ache today so not sure if i've eaten something that doesn't agree with my IBS or could it be OV pains?!?

OP posts:
captainmoll · 12/11/2012 13:53

Hi Bunny - yes, I should, in theory, be on for DTD same time as you. No sign of anything so far on OV sticks or any of the stuff in this new charting thing I'm doing either (all a bit TMI to go into). I'm hoping DH pulls himself out of his despond in time - his business is in a bad way at the mo so he is vv stressed. And now I am too as just a got a lovely letter in the post from the taxman asking me to repay the rebate they gave me in January! Total financial crisis going on now.. Angry
Hey ho; maybe having absolutely no money left will mean I get my BFP, as it will be the most inconvenient time possible for an extra mouth to turn up and need feeding! Silver linings etc..

HazleNutt · 12/11/2012 14:44

Hey berries, who's POASing next?

Here I'm cranky, irritable and tired, but that's probably just work being even more crazy than usual.
Little one seems to be carnivorous - I had not eaten any meat for 10 years. Yesterday DH made himself a roast chicken and I ate a whole leg, luckily without any ill effects after such a long time. Was quite tasty actually, might try that again. (it was obviously an organic, free-range, happy chicken).

happylass · 12/11/2012 15:16

AF finally got me today boohoo. My extremely impatient DP mentioned that we were TTC today whilst he was at the docs and managed to convince them to check his swimmers even though we've only been trying for 2 cycles! Am amazed they agreed to this but at least we'll know if there's a problem his end early on!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 12/11/2012 15:28

Wow happy impressed with your DH!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 12/11/2012 15:28

Sorry, DP.

Pipbin · 12/11/2012 15:46

Peek on the CBFM today and opk said positive.
Managed to get the job done last night.
Will try again tonight. Hopefully this will be enough!

BraveLilBear · 12/11/2012 15:57

Boo to AF happylass but totally loving the work of your OH!

Fascinating return to meat-eating Hazle - I have a friend who hates a certain High Street fastfood burger vendor who has been eating little else recently - she's in the grip of extreme MS and craving the burgers, praying it'll let up soon!

If I get to the weekend without AF showing up, I'll be POAS on Sunday morning, I reckon.

Not feeling positive though. I fear that any slim chance I may have had of imminent implantation may have been scotched by a farcical tumble down the stairs on Saturday morning (6dpo) - was relatively unharmed apart from a bruised buttock and a sore shoulder and being stiff and cranky - but in the immediate aftermath I went into a weird shock mode and nearly fainted.

All while trying to herd some nice men from B&Q round the back garden with our new ladders at 7.25am.

Dramatic, moi? In the spirit of positivity though I'll do some symptom spotting... boobs a bit sore on the edges like pre-AF and seem to be keen on weeing today.

Anyone else partaking in symptom spotting?

Purplemonster · 12/11/2012 16:16

Hey berries, how's it going everyone? Sorry about the evil AF Happy Sad
I still think with the extra booze and time to relax over the Christmas period we could get a few festive BFPs. I'm hopeful. Less pressure on our man folk when you've both had a couple of small sherries Wink

Slightly envious that you're all getting more action than me though, I know some of you have the added motivation of TTC and that that doesn't always make it fun but between me already being pregnant and my other half having poorly sphericals at the moment, I've not had any fun since before my bfp. Does he not understand I have needs! Grin

Rache1S · 12/11/2012 16:31

Interesting re the burgers Brave, I am also not usually a fan of the McShit they sell at McDonalds but one night last week I just had to have a Big Mac and nothing else would do. I was really annoyed at myself for craving it as i've been eating really well otherwise.

I don't think falling down stairs will impede implantation. In hindsight I did some quite vigorous DTDing around the time of implantation so these little Blastocysts must not mind a bit of a shake up Grin I've got everything crossed for you, when is AF actually due?

Very impressed at your DP and how good is his his Doctor Happylass? I don't think my DH would have been at all keen to get tested.

Rache1S · 12/11/2012 16:42

Purple I'm envious that you still have your sex drive! Mine has completely disappeared and I have never felt less horny. I feel terrible on DH and I think he understands but I don't think it's very great for our relationship Confused

janey1234 · 12/11/2012 16:56

Oh, I'm sorry happy. Well done your DP though! Hoping you're lucky third time, like I was...

rache and purple I'm kind of half way between you... totally feel like it throughout the day, but then get home and onto the sofa and feel whacked... then go to bed and pass out... Then wake up at 2am, and after being unable to sleep for an hour or so decide I fancy it again, but decide it would be mean to wake DP, then spend all day thinking about it again... Then get home tired... You see the pattern.

Breaking news - I think I might have morning sickness today. Started about 10am, and have spent all day feeling a bit like I've got something in my throat and need to be sick or burp or something else attractive like that I messaged my friend who is 14 weeks and she said that's exactly how it started/felt to her. If it is I'm a) pleased - didn't have any ms last time and had a mmc at 12 weeks but b) a teensy bit annoyed as i feel pretty rough. But I'm not moaning though really, I know how annoying people moaning about being pg are when you're ttc.

I too am hoping for lots of BFP's in the next few weeks - the festivities have GOT to help things along, as purple says.

And brave your fall sounds horrendous, hope you're ok. But I do think it hopefully shouldn't have affected things for you... Fx....

BraveLilBear · 12/11/2012 17:11

Thanks Janey and Rache - I think I was quite lucky - slipped on fifth-to-last step and thumped down thereafter. Am giggling at blastocysts not minding a bumpy ride - given that we finally saw Skyfall yesterday, I think we might throw James onto the boys name list if bean grows after all this - you know, shaken not stirred and all that!

Af due 18th. Maybe. Was due 14th/15th, but ov'ed late after early mc, so I dilligently put it back to the 18th...

Is it wrong to feel sorry forMrPurple's sphericals? Poor thing. Of course, I feel worse for you, Purple - I swear my OH's libido makes me look like a nymphomaniac at the best of times. Blush

It was only on holiday that the once or twice a week was thrown to the breeze and proper DTDing commenced! So if it's a festive BFP for us, then a long spell off work should definitely do the trick

Quodlibet · 12/11/2012 18:06

Janey snap with the MS. It's like I've hit the 6 week mark and overnight the quease had gone up a serious notch. Not horrendous puking or anything but I've been having to eat every half hour or so today to keep the potential retching/drooling under control. Interesting seeing as I had to teach a practical session today to a new group of students for 3 hrs - I took in a graze box of nuts / ricecakes/ carrot sticks and made up an excuse about medical issues and low blood sugar!

DP is now away again for another 2 week stint (well he is back for 1 day next week but then off again) which is hard. We are really enjoying each other's company at the moment (we had our portion of stress when TTC too) and are missing each other a lot being apart. So no sexy time for me either.

Quodlibet · 12/11/2012 18:15

Also - now sitting on a train next to a lady who is eating picked onion crisps and literally having to restrain myself from stealing some. I normally HATE pickled onion flavour but they smell so nice (?) i am actually dribbling.

Bunnygirlie · 12/11/2012 18:30

Anybody else have tummy pains heading towards ov time?

Is this the only thread with more members PG than TTC lol

Crikey Brave that sounds ouchy!
Sorry evil bitch got you happy but OH is a genius!
