Great news Hazle!

My doctor sounds like she was better than janey's - took a lot of time and care, wee test/bp/stomach proddig, got me a flu jab while I was in there, did the choose and book there and then and was generally helpful. I should be contacted in the next week by the antenatal team to arrange dating scan.

Had my first night of socialising/not drinking last night. Pretty sure there was some wondering going on and I wouldn't be surprised if people have guessed tbh.

Chin up all you lot still waiting - I am sure we are due some Festive Elberberry BFXmasPavlovas.

BraveLilBear · 09/11/2012 12:57

Great stuff Hazle and Quod Grin

Sorry you were underwhelmed Janey I think it really depends on which doc you end up seeing, even within the same practice.

Totally understand the Facebook thing Bunny et al - after my early mc, literally everything in my feed was about children/pregnancy/twins!

Nipped on yesterday and was delighted to see an old friend of mine announcing her daughter had been born by C sec on Tuesday and all fine... No picture though, so maybe that helped?

Fx to the rest of us!

janey1234 · 09/11/2012 14:37

Ah that's good quod, if I'm honest, I'm a bit jealous! Mine was useless, didn't tell my anything or ask me anything. Thankfully I'd decided to have the flu jab through work, just in case I got pg, not that he asked me about it. Grrrrr I hate my practice.....

Fingers crossed for the rest of you indeed. I'm sure that quod is right - we're overdue some more BFP's!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 09/11/2012 15:22

Facebook can get a bit grrrEnvy from time to time but on the whole I grumble but would rather see the pictures than not.
That could change depending on how frustrating this process gets. have been broody since 2009 so the babes I cooed over then are all toddlers now!

Rache1S · 09/11/2012 17:50

That's great news Hazle, you must be over the moon!! I bet seeing that little flicker on the screen is the best feeling in the world Grin I am so tempted to pay for a scan soon because I think waiting another 5 weeks will be an absolute killer!

Janey & Quod Should I have seen a Doctor before the Midwife? I phoned my surgery to tell them I was PG and they just passed my details on to a Midwife, no mention of seeing a Doctor?

janey1234 · 09/11/2012 17:55

No rache I don't think so - all the doctor did was day he would refer me to the midwife. Although quod's doc did more than that. If it's the policy of your surgery to just refer you I'm sure it's fine

BraveLilBear · 09/11/2012 18:59

Rache when I saw the doctor about my early mc (should have been my confirmation appt, pffft) he gave me a card and said I could self refer to the midwifery service when pg again - but added that they share the care, and then got v excited about listening to babies' heartbeats lol!

So I guess it's down to where you are and who your doc is. Wish we all had one like Quod - tho mine was very lovely too Smile

HazleNutt · 09/11/2012 19:40

I don't know Rach, I don't feel any different. Sure was nice to see that everything is ok, but still only week 8..Didn't help that the doc took his time to explain about all the future scans and tests - just so many things to worry about. But oh well, at least so far, so good.

winkle2 · 09/11/2012 22:17

Brilliant news hazle re heartbeat

winkle2 · 09/11/2012 22:17

:)

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 09/11/2012 23:09

Wow I missed that hazle a heartbeat!! That's amazing!!!

Pipbin · 09/11/2012 23:58

Wow Hazle, our first Pavlova heartbeat.
From BFP to heartbeat seems short time.

Lolcbcblemonlime · 10/11/2012 07:57

Morning girls. Got my first ever Smile today. So exciting!
We DTD last night and have friends over tonight so prob earliest we can do again is tomorrow evening. What do u think? Is it too late?

Quodlibet · 10/11/2012 08:37

What are you doing on the internet woman? Go and jump his bones again!

janey1234 · 10/11/2012 08:42

I second quod - make sure you get to it today before your friends arrive, and again tomorrow after they've gone!

Fx this is your month Smile

Lolcbcblemonlime · 10/11/2012 08:56

Haha you both made me laugh! DH at work and I'm spending whole day cooking for 7! Am thinking maybe a drunken shag later if he can get it up lol!!!

Rache1S · 10/11/2012 12:50

Lolcbcb it will make the 2WW so much more exciting if you know you've given it your best shot so I absolutely insist that you DTD tonight, even if you have to put a splint on it! Grin

Bunnygirlie · 10/11/2012 15:17

Hi ladies! Totally failed in my not drinking resolution last night, after 2 tough weeks since evil AF came to town I thought I'd have one of two on work night out that turned into quite a few more ;-) oh well it was fun but now suffering and don't want to drink again any time soon.
Gonna start using ov sticks tomorrow as apps say DTD time is almost upon us, wish us luck :-p

P.s. Hazle glad scan went well :-)

HazleNutt · 10/11/2012 20:06

Thank you Elderberries! Morning - or make it all day- sickness has also arrived, luckily still mild, but certainly there.

Rache1S · 10/11/2012 21:08

My jeans feel tight today. I know it's for the greater good but this is a bad feeling Sad Especially as only 7+2 and the 'experts' say I shouldn't have put any weight on yet - well tell that to my insatiable appetite and the chronic nausea I get at the slightest hint of hunger. I am heading towards obesity Sad Sad Sad

Quodlibet · 10/11/2012 22:02

I am also getting attacks of the quease and have to eat pretty much every hour to keep it in check so I know how you feel Rach. But I am telling myself that it's definitely better to be eating a little bit too much but with nausea at bay than getting into a cycle where you can't keep anything down - my sister lost loads of weight when she had MS and ended up looking really peaky Sad. Remember also that you're not drinking any alcohol which is a massive amount of empty calories if you add up even a moderate consumption...

Lolcbcblemonlime · 11/11/2012 00:52

Well my lovelies just came here to let you know I did manage a shagSmile
Don't think I'll manage another one but so far I'm happy enough!

Pipbin · 11/11/2012 08:49

Argh. We have tried and failed to DTD twice this week. DH's mojo has gone, ifkwim.

Lolcbcblemonlime · 11/11/2012 10:19

Oh no pip that sucks. My DH is not always in the mood either and sometimes that's hard to take! What cd are you? Have u managed to DTD anywhere near ov time yet?
How about u try something different? I've said here before I use conceive plus without dh's knowledge and when he finds me (ahem) extra horny that does the trick!
