Oh quod that sucks! But remember everything we've been saying about cancelled flights - you claim that compensation....

How you feeling? I was nearly sick last night when our lodger (he's been my lodger for years and didn't have the heart to ask him to move out when DP moved in too - he will obv be booted out soon though if this all continues in the right direction) popped into the lounge to say goodnight having just been for a fag. I have honestly NEVER smelt anything so completely disgusting, for about half an hour afterwards I was moaning about the smell and convinced I could still smell it. Ugh. Apart from that no other symptoms really... Did POAS again this morning, just for the hell of it, and the line was faster and darker than last time. Do we think this is good, or irrelevant, and not necessarily a good OR a bad sign?

HazleNutt · 05/11/2012 11:58

Line coming up faster and darker is definitely a good sign, more hcg in the system.

BraveLilBear · 05/11/2012 12:13

Quod that really sucks. All the Skype etc in the world doesn't make up for that. You got any distractions planned to get you to tomorrow evening?

Cake day? Grin

janey1234 · 05/11/2012 13:05

Good plan brave - maybe we should all have a cake day, by way of support?

hazle - I hoped as much, thanks for confirming!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 05/11/2012 17:31

OMG what a day!!! One of my best friends who is just 24 and has been dumped by her boyfriend last week has just found out she is pregnant while on the freaking pill!!!!! The poor girl is in bits. Spent the day looking after her and she kept apologising to me as she knows what I'm going through. Life is cruel Sad

Pipbin · 05/11/2012 18:10

Another woman at my work is pregnant.
That makes 3. I was hoping I would be number 3.
However, this woman has been trying for a long time and had a miscarriage so I am pleased for her.

winkle2 · 05/11/2012 18:27

It's so hard when others fall and you're still waiting. I'm dreading the next few months as 2 people I know have just married and another told me she was going to start trying in oct. So I'm expecting their BFP's before mine.

Aquarius1 · 05/11/2012 18:39

Someone facebooked me recently announcing they're expecting their second child... Oh good I'm so glad you told me... Envy

Janey sorry about fag breath lodger... We have a lodger too - makes spontaneous sex a bit tricky... Luckily they're leaving soon...

Rache1S · 05/11/2012 18:51

Hazle I don't have proper morning sickness either. I've had a few small infrequent waves of nausea and that's it. I've just got slightly sore nipples, increased appetite and today I have fatigue (but I suspect that is due to a crap night's sleep followed by a full day of meetings rather than PG).
No spotting for 2 days now though so I'm feeling cautiously positive again and we should maybe both be pleased that we have so far not been attacked by the scourge of proper morning sickness? Grin

KittenCamile · 05/11/2012 19:05

Pipbin · 05/11/2012 19:09

Hi Kitten and welcome.
Oh the pavlova was only 3 egg whites.
Sorry to be grim, but I'm never going to look at egg white the same way again after TTCing.

winkle2 · 05/11/2012 19:36

Welcome kitten!!

Bunnygirlie · 05/11/2012 20:13

Welcome kitten!

Pipkin that is hilarious!

All your PG stories are interesting, scary, fascinating but I'm still so incredibly jealous!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 06/11/2012 09:30

bunny we'll get there too soon I hope Smile

BraveLilBear · 06/11/2012 09:47

Pipbin I'm laughing out loud at that Grin wonder if Nigella ever entertained the same thought?!

Welcome Kitten

HazleNutt · 06/11/2012 09:53

You'll get there! And will have a whole lot of new things to worry about.
Who's POASing next?

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 06/11/2012 09:59

Well got another BFN day before yesterday so that's me out for the cycle I'm afraid.
On a positive note, have an appointment with a specialist on Friday so let's see what they say. Essentially last year my periods had basically stopped so this follows from that. They had scanned me and basically had said I should see them if I wanted to conceive because my chances naturally speaking were low.

Rache1S · 06/11/2012 10:27

Are any of you PG ladies getting AF-style cramps? I appear to have stopped spotting but seems have been replaced by dull cramps for the last few days. I'm sure some cramping is normal as things grow and stretch but this really feels like AF is on the way.

Rache1S · 06/11/2012 10:28

Zombies when is/was AF due? If she's not here yet then surely there's still hope?

HazleNutt · 06/11/2012 10:37

sorry zombies but it's not over yet! False negatives are very common.

Rach yes, very often - totally normal apparently.

janey1234 · 06/11/2012 11:45

Hi kitten and welcome!

zombies - I'm with hazle and rache, until AF arrives you just never know...

rache - yes, loads. Two days ago I was absolutely certain it was all going wrong, proper pains and then thought I felt AF arrive. No, it was just CM and the craps have gone away now. Oh and my nipples really sore again, despite being OK for a few days. And I know this isn't very positive, but when I had the mc at 12 weeks I didn't have any pain whatsoever until everything was well underway, and then the pain was much worse and entirely different to AF pain. So I think all very normal!

pip hilarious. I think that's me off meringue for a while...

janey1234 · 06/11/2012 11:46

Haha by craps I meant cramps. Oopsie.

Oh and hazle - just had all my dental work done. Two massive fillings, including replacing a root canal, and was allowed injections, phew. Apparently only one type is advised against when pg. Now dribbling at my desk - why didn't I go at the end of the day instead of the start?!

Quodlibet · 06/11/2012 11:57

Rach sound pretty normal to me - I've had some crampy sensations too. I have managed to wind myself up for an hour this morning because my boobs were less sore than yesterday and have to give myself a stern talking to about the fact that symptoms come and go, everyone is different, no, you may not 'feel' pregnant etc etc. It's very hard not to be a bit mental isn't it?

Zombie - agree, not out til AF is here.

DP is on a plane finally and winging his way home - hurrah! I added up the rest of the days he is away this month and it's actually only 9 days I'm at home alone (going to visit my parents for a few days too) for the foreseeable which makes me feel better - he''s been away loads for the past few months and I am pretty over it now to be honest.

HazleNutt · 06/11/2012 12:06

quod it's very hard, but I have the same, soreness comes and goes, no need to panic.

I'm thinking about a winter holiday and my mum and sister are going to Puerto Rico for February - would be nice to see them, as we're all living in different countries. Anybody been? The flight is shorter than to Thailand so could also just go for a week or so.
