Gingerpanther27 · 29/10/2012 22:14

I've got spots more than I have ever in my life [hshocked] sorry to hear about your friend rockchick

Pixie001 · 29/10/2012 22:19

having realised eggs only live for 12-24 hrs it has dawned on me how hard it is to get up duffed!

tomorrow i am going to go and rub myself against my work friend who got up duffed immediately in the hope that i can absorb some fertility

Pixie001 · 29/10/2012 22:48

welcome to the bus fuls! i had implant many years ago. quite liked it actually after the initial 6 month of constant spotting. it didnt take too long to readjust from memory so hopefully you'll soon have an idea of what your body's up to. how's your arm? i have tiny scars left but not v noticeable. has bruising all gone now?

chookford · 30/10/2012 08:21

Rock am very sorry to hear about your friend... such sad news.

Hai lactolose is your friend when things are bunged up... it isnt a laxative it just softens things up and allows your body to return to normal gently docs presribe it for pregnant women so its safe (never left home without it when pg with dd!) Smile

Pixie really hope you get some good news.. its not over until af shows!

Welcome to the bus fuls

Morning everyone else.... who is up for a Brew ?

littlestgirlguide · 30/10/2012 08:41

I'll have a cuppa if someone's got the kettle on. Fed ip and grumpy this morning. Not mentioned it previously but DH has high blood pressure, for which he takes tablets, which give him the opposite problem, if you know what I mean. It's very frustrating. Not least because I know it's medical but can't help wondering if it's me. We have totally missed this month, and I am feeling very down about the whole process. Sorry to bring you all down, I could do with a hug but who do you ask for a hug because of a problem like that?!!

chocolateteabag · 30/10/2012 08:49

Morning chook - I am having a Brew putting off going upstairs to start work (working from home today)
Had a panic last night about how we'd manage with 2 which in cold light of day makes me worry.
Also been looking up implantation bleeding and looks like 4-5DPO is too early
Have now stopped that tho.

Is 10DPO too early to test? And can anyone reccomend which are the best POAS tests to use? I can't remember from last time - vague memory that super drug own brand were good

chocolateteabag · 30/10/2012 08:52

Hi LGG - you ask us!
Or you just randomly hug strangers - don't worry about what they'll think

Do you test for ovulation? If DH isn't going to manage regular DTD, then at least focussing on the best 1-2 nights in the month would improve your chances?

Anyway big un-MN hug from me

Grannyapple · 30/10/2012 08:57

hai I second what chook says re lactulose. Worked wonders for that scary post birth poo (yuk!). But not sure if you can get it over the counter or if only on prescription? Anyway, a friend recommended some warm/hot water with a few spoonfuls of brown sugar...supposed to work wonders too.

Got a smiley on the opk last night...dtd cd9, 12, 13 (yesterday afternoon), & cd 14 today...dh is on alert for tonight & tomorrow too so hoping we're in with a chance this month. Dh doesn't know I'm using opk but for some reason feel better about it all this month? Sex has been better but I also think its cos I feel that this might be the 1st proper month where we're dtd at the right times & in with a proper chance...I feel a wee bit more in control of it all (even though the whole timing is pretty much down to chance it seems). Of course, only time will tell I guess...will be in the 2ww after tomorrow.

Ds is a bit under the weather with the sniffles, hoping a day at home today wilk sort him out....spending the day with a friend tomorrow (gym, lunch then spa treatment)...hope ds is better tomorrow...

Hope everyone had a good day & good luck to those in the 2ww...

Grannyapple · 30/10/2012 09:02

Sorry cross post littlest...I agre with chic..anyway you can focus on the 'important' time?

choc I was told superdrug tests too so stocked up on a few packs a few months ago (was 2 x 2 packs for £7 I think?). Am hoping not to test til day after AF due this month...will see if I can hold out [hhmm]

chookford · 30/10/2012 09:03

little really sorry to hear that your feeling so down... I completely understand where you're coming from though that must be very frustrating but dont think it has anything to do with you it is just an unfortunate side effect from the medication, have you spoken to him about this? Maybe there is a different medication he could take that would'nt effect him in that way? Really think you should talk to him chances are he is feeling the same way and maybe you need to visit your gp just to see if anything else can be done... I am offering you a big Brew and a dougnut (my office is very un-healthy!) and am sending you a big hug... as bad as things seem now it will get better promise Wink

chookford · 30/10/2012 09:08

Morning Choc I dont blame you... I do everything I possibly can before I start work when I am working from home! The best early tests are supposed to be frer they can detect as early as 9dpo (have friends who used them!)

Granny brilliant news def sounds like you are in with a very good chance this month as the timing sounds bang on! fx!!!

paah · 30/10/2012 09:19

littlest do not despair! We had exactly the same issue. OH spoke to the doc explained the situation and was given some medication to ahem assist. Not viagra but same effect. I think the limit is about 8 per month but if he takes one it works for a good 16hrs if not 24 so we tend to dtd night then morning miss a day night then morning again at fertile times. Not that I've got a bfp yet but its more likely like this than not at all! Big hugs, I took it very personally at first but it was just a side effect of the bp tablets. Good luck

TakingTheStairs · 30/10/2012 09:25

But low and behold mrs grumpy turned tomrs misrible after that bfn so just went to bed :(

Cycle day 24 so af due in 5 days if i have a 28 day cycle but cud be more cud be less Confused

Angie607 · 30/10/2012 10:12

Feeling a little fed up thismorning feeling all crampy again :( cd 19 so maybe af is gonna make an early appearance? Would it be pointless for me to go get a frer? My calendar tells me to test on Monday. Also pretty sure I'm about to lose my job so pretty much screwed this end!
hai chin up there's sill time yet Thanks
littlest big hugs for you, I agree maybe the best thing to do is send him to docs to explain the situ maybe they will give him something I help or change what he is already on?
Omelette anyone?
Xx

Gingerpanther27 · 30/10/2012 10:15

Superdrug are good brand that's what I ran out to buy along side frer after using a poundland cheapie (which was BFP) chocloate I suffer with ibs so have constant movement problems so I eat a lot of eggs :)
pixie my aproach was pinning him to bed didn't leave him there well I got ready for round 2/3 or waking him up in middle of the night Blush [hgrin]

Gingerpanther27 · 30/10/2012 10:16

Ooh yes please to an omelette angie [hgrin]

Rockchick1984 · 30/10/2012 10:18

Thank you everyone for your kind words - Taking I have no problem with you saying a little prayer to yourself for her - I'm personally not religious but her family are and they are finding a lot of comfort in that at the moment so a little prayer from you for her would be lovely, thank you :)

Hai sorry to hear about BFN but sounds very early to be testing, hopefully there's a sticky bean in there that's just too small yet to give you the hormone surges!

All of you with spots - I never had spots as a teenager, never had any to do with PMT etc, however from about a week after getting upduffed with DS to about 9 months after giving birth I have been a spotty mess suffering from them for the first time in my life!

Sorry to hear you're struggling littlest but would definitely encourage your DH to go back to his Dr, definitely doesn't sound like you are anything to do with the problem but I know how tough it can be - my ex had problems in that area(things went up but wouldn't finish) and he told me about them before we shagged the first time and even though I knew it wasn't my fault, it still hurt my feelings.

Pixie001 · 30/10/2012 11:59

littlest i'm sure we have lots of mn hug-ers on this bus - we're ready and waiting whenever needed! (((hug)))
Granny good work so far on the BD. hope your DS is better tomorrow for you to enjoy your day out
hai remember your advice to me..it's not over for you just yet! it is still early, esp if you're testing with cheapy.
angie it's prob still too early to test, i had cramping around then as well and nothing arrived. i think best to be patient and keep waiting rather than get BFN because you test too early. tough news on the job - what's happening?
taking any symptoms?
i'm working from home today so scuppered my chances of stealing my work friend's fertility

chookford · 30/10/2012 12:13

Taking here you go my lovely (this is my apology for the lateness.... and the fact I have run out of teabags!!! grrrrrr

anyone else want one?!

TakingTheStairs · 30/10/2012 12:19

Hi Pixie, not any real symptoms tbh, but thank you for asking.

A bit of a cold and stretchy stabby pains in my abdomen but they could very easily be nothing. FRER is giving me bfn but AF isn't due until Saturday anyway.
Dr Google says that you won't get a BFP until 2-3 days after implantation so I'm hoping that the stabby pains yesterday & Sunday were implantation and that FRER might be nice and give me a BFP later in the week.
Just trying not to give up hope yet and crossing my fingers for this weekend.
