I'm day 24, expecting AF around day 34, desperately trying not to symptom spot! Isn't it cruel that lots of symptoms before AF are similar to early pg? X

paah · 29/10/2012 08:41

jelly in my experience 'the other stuff' dries quicker and doesn't stretch so much. Hope someone can give you a proper scientific explanation soon!

littlest someone was saying on here (no idea which thread) that they'd only dtd on cd2 and got bfp so who knows.

poco and pixie I'm right there with you.

I actually dreamt I got a bfp last night so tested this morning 8pdo duh bfn obv.

JellyCurls · 29/10/2012 09:04

Thanks mum could raise a few eyebrows at work. Over n out see you all when on 2ww.

chookford · 29/10/2012 09:12

Morning everyone.... how are we all this morning?

Horse I am so very sorry to hear your news I know this wont make anything better but I found eating rubbish helped a little.....

Ginger fabulous news congrats!!!

paah I keep having that dream too that or I have a bump... lets hope it is a good sign of things to come?!

Gingerpanther27 · 29/10/2012 09:15

Going to go mw today if I pluck up the courage and inform DP of the good news, he's going to be like wtf engaged last week ("unofficially") and pregnant and engaged this week...

Hai1988 · 29/10/2012 09:23

Hey all cycle day 23 here, no sign of af other that a bit of acne and pms yestetday but can you get these symptoms in early pg?b

Dh is optimistic thinks i am pg but i dont think i am having a avrage lenght cycle this month and af is gonna be here at the weekend now, but kinda wish if shes coming to.come sooner rather than later so i can get on with the next cycle and have better luck

Congratz to those who have already got ur bfps and fx to thoses waiting

Morien · 29/10/2012 10:26

Thanks mu51cal, it always helps to know that someone else is in the same boat. I thought I'd give it another cycle to see if the spotting settles down and if it doesn't I'll talk to my dr about it. Interesting about the progesterone - I hadn't heard that.

Hai, I don't get spots, never have done - apart from before my BFP in June... (I've got a couple now as well but think that's more to do with WTF post-mc cycles so not getting my hopes up).

Hai1988 · 29/10/2012 10:57

oh thats interesting morien :) Cus I dont normally get spots before af either but as have only been off the pill for a few cycles it could be cus of that and now i will get them before af :(

Still holding out testing till atleast wedneday when frer are due to arrive in the post,

Angie607 · 29/10/2012 11:28

I got spots before af came last month and got majorly excited cos i NEVER get spots, not even when I was a teen, but obv it didn't happen last month, think someone was just sticking two fingers up at me lol. But I did come off that stupid pill the month before so maybe it is the hormones playing with us
Xx

Hai1988 · 29/10/2012 12:42

Yeah proberly angie oh and btw i tryed your brownie in a mug last night. Omg heaven!! Thanks so much for the recipe :)

Haylebop12 · 29/10/2012 13:04

angie basically it's just a plan of when were having sex. DH has no say in it he's just there to provide strong swimmers! Grin
(Basicay just DTD EODfrom cd8 to cd16

Pixie001 · 29/10/2012 15:37

need to add more water to my brownie in a mug next time - its gonna be a devil to hide the evidence clean

i've had really bad spots since june after taking norithisterone to delay AF til after my wedding/honeymoon. didnt have spots before so them pills messed my hormones right up!

ginger i missed your engagement update (have i got that right???)! that's great news! what a lot goin on, suprised you havent passed out in excitement! have you set a date?

i got impatient and POAS this morning told you i had no self control!...a BFN. [hsad] grr. over the 2WW i started out optimistic, then was convinced AF was going to arrive and then last couple of days allowed myself a little glimmer of hope again so thought i'd hurry up and POAS before i got my hopes up too much.

it was a sainsburys own test, which i hear are fairly sensitive, so given it's 3 days before AF due i assume i can count out this cycle??

on a positive note, if AF hurries up then i shud still be able to fit in another attempt on the Nov bus.

Hai1988 · 29/10/2012 15:52

pixie dont give up hope till af arrives

Angie607 · 29/10/2012 16:08

Pixie hang in there there's still hope yet!
hai I know they're heavenly!.....gonna have to get another box of cocoa from asda lol.
hayle my dh doesn't have a say either, feel mean sometimes as he'll be so tired n fall asleep then I wake him up haha, we've been DTD eod from cd6 up until cd12 when I demanded it every day haha, except last night (cd17) cos I just couldn't be arsed lol. So if he hasn't managed to upduffed me this time I'm not gonna be best pleased with him! AND I've just bought him berry skittles haha :/
Also pixie I just put kettle water in the mug after and wash it out in the morning, or blame it on the kids
Bit crampy today but dunno whether that was just because I spent 4 hours raiding the £1 shops in town haha, stopped now anyway
Xx

Rockchick1984 · 29/10/2012 16:19

Angie when you said the brownies have to be cocoa not hot chocolate, would it work with 'proper' hot choc powder eg the Cadbury one you have to mix with milk? Had some horrible news, one of my friends has lost her battle with cancer and passed away at the weekend, I feel like I deserve sugary chocolaty treats and wine Sad

Hai1988 · 29/10/2012 17:17

Sorry to hear about your friend rockchick :(

Tmi alert but does anyone know of any good natural consipation remedys? [Blush]

Rockchick1984 · 29/10/2012 17:19

Hai fig rolls worked wonders for me after having DS to soften things up, but I couldn't face drinking prune juice or eating fresh prunes, dates etc :)

Pixie001 · 29/10/2012 17:33

oh god rockchick, how terrrible. put's everything into perspective. have my last cookie left from last night's bake [hbiscuit] i managed to not eat all the cookie dough
hai that was me a few days ago! i looked it up and it's coz progesterone, which increases after ov, can slow down food moving through your intestines. this is good when you're pg as ensures max food to baby. well that's my understanding anyway. you need fibre and water - like wholemeal bread/pasta, all-bran, fruits and veg. [hsmile]

littlepinkfizz · 29/10/2012 17:51

Loads of water. , kiwis fruit and oranges hai!

chocolateteabag · 29/10/2012 18:38

Hai -Psyllium husks are good for getting everything moving through you and they are "natures broom"
They bulk everything up and make it easier to pass through rather than rushing things through. Used them a bit a lot when I was pg.

Am now 5DPO and had a bit more pinky brown spotting - not like pre AF - so still confused but hoping it's implantation bleeding

Angie607 · 29/10/2012 18:41

rockchick I'm so sorry Hun what horrible news :(
I have had a few friends try it with hot choc mix and it hasn't worked, I think it needs the bitterness of cocoa powder, I use the rowntrees one x

Hai1988 · 29/10/2012 19:15

Thanks all will try a few of them things, see if we can get moving :)

Fuls · 29/10/2012 20:31

Can I get on the bus please I have a ticket! got my af last night it has definitely been a wtf kinda cycle! 23 day cycle in September and now a 37 day cycle maybe it's just my body adjusting to having my implant out..... Who knows Confused

mumbags · 29/10/2012 21:17

To everyone getting acne post ovulation - me too!! More spots in one day than I've had in six months Confused

Pixie001 · 29/10/2012 22:14

so what do you ladies think about this...
when pg tests break the news of a BFN result, they need to do it in a much kinder and more understanding way! seriously, the -ve line came up so quick this mornin, it didn't even have to think about it before giving me the news...

i think after the pain of a 2WW we at least deserve some constructive feedback dont you? like you need to keep your hips raised for longer to make sure the fishies make it all the way up there or you were a bit late with dtd and egg was already dead, try dtd in mornin next time i shall patent it and approach clearblue and make myself millions of pounds selling the idea
