Haha!

paah · 25/10/2012 22:08

mumbags you're very kind to even acknowledge my nonsense, last month I poked my boobs so much to see if they hurt that they hurt! No poking of boobs this month, but a sore boob non the less. Maybe its a left hander or brokenness as previously stated. Uti sounds grim, although may provide multiple opportunities for poas!

Angie607 · 25/10/2012 22:10

Oh no!!! Erm, ill go through recipe again
Take a mug and put:
1/4 mug sugar(I used caster)
1/4 mug of self raising flour

Mug now 1/2 full

Put in a pinch of salt and 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (not hot choc or milkshake mix)
Stir all this together so it's all mixed in

Add 2 tablespoons oil and start off with 3 tablespoons cold water
Mix all this and it will start to turn to dough, keep adding small amounts of cold water and workin it in (can be quite hard to stir) untill ou get a really sticky thick mixture, a bit like wet cookie dough
So not runny but not solid, u can stick a spoon through it but won't drop out straight away if you turned it upside down for a few seconds

Now it says to microwave for 1 min 40 but I put 2 in (one for dh not both for me...unfortunately lol) and I put it on for 2.30, so maybe 1 min 40 is about right, brownie should just be peeping over the top of your mug!

If still having trouble maybe I can try and figure out how to post a pic tomorrow?
Xx

Angie607 · 25/10/2012 22:12

Don't put too much water in though cos dh put too much in his and it looked like cake batter, tasted like a muffin too lol

Gingerpanther27 · 25/10/2012 22:37

Can you make it one of those special post MC quick to upduff ones...and make sure my seat is near the snack bar, this brownie in the mug sounds lovely!

Welcome Calmisthemantra!

Hai, well done for giving up smoking!

MrsWajs · 26/10/2012 03:29

Thanks for adding me to the list :)

Brief background - have DD 18months & DSS 4.9years (doesn't live with us)
I am 29, big 30 in January - eeeep!! And this will prob be our last DC as DP reckons 3 is more than enough! I reckon about 5 would be good but we live in a 2 bed rented house so we may have one or two practical issues to sort out before I start twisting his arm on that one! We also aren't millionaires, so maybe he's right....

Anyway took a year to conceive DD as my body is a bit unpredictable - conceived the day AF was due!? So have faithfully promised not to go mental this time charting, temping etc and just go with the flow. Was also diagnosed with PND & anxiety disorder when DD was 11 months old so have just completed course of ADs for that too - I really know how to put myself through the mill, get myself mentally stable just to go and do it all again!!

Anyway that's a bit doom & gloom so will stick to positives! On nightshift at the mo so loads of MN time - yay!

Hai1988 · 26/10/2012 07:45

Thanks horse it was surprisingly easy to quit, so so sorry to hear about your bean not being a sticky one :(

Dexidoo · 26/10/2012 08:12

Sorry to hear of your loss horse

JellyCurls · 26/10/2012 08:14

horse so sorry to hear your news. Hope end of November brings you a sticky bean x

Angie607 · 26/10/2012 08:29

So sorry horse :( xxx

littlestgirlguide · 26/10/2012 08:45

Aw horse, I'm sorry x

LexiLoganberry · 26/10/2012 09:46

Sorry horse Sad

angie I went wrong in several ways then I did use drinking hot chocolate powder (it was all I had) and my mixture was to wet, but I'd only added 2 tbsp of the water, I also used a giant mug (normal one's in dishwasher)
I'll try again when I have proper cocoa powder. [hsmile]

AWomanCalledHorse · 26/10/2012 09:51

Thank you everyone. It means alot (the only people we've told in RL are our parents so it's nice to have people acknowledge the pg, even if it was a very short one) [hsmile]

What's everyone up to this weekend?

I see boxsets & junk food in my immediate future, DH came home from work (manager sent him home) so he's looking after DS so I can have a 'me' day.

Rockchick1984 · 26/10/2012 09:57

So sorry for your loss Horse - definitely think box sets, pâté, soft cheeses, and champagne are required to console yourself with, all the things that you won't be able to have when your sticky BFP comes along. How far along was your pregnancy?

Gingerpanther27 · 26/10/2012 10:26

Sorry for your loss horse :( x

Pixie001 · 26/10/2012 11:22

horse so sorry to hear news and really hope your cycle not too messed up so that u get another bfp soon.

As one of the first in the mth due to start the poas process, am startin to feel the pressure of bringing bfp joy to nov bus! You other 1 nov feelin it?

I still have pre-AF symptoms despite it not being due til nxt thurs. Maybe it's coming early at wknd..but if not, when shall I commence poas?

Angie607 · 26/10/2012 11:59

Argh! My 20mlu sticks just came in the post SO tempted to do one now! Slightly off my food thismorning, which isn't normal as I love my Friday morning fryup normally :/
Xx

Morien · 26/10/2012 12:02

Angie607 · 26/10/2012 17:09

paah · 26/10/2012 18:18

So sorry for you horse that's rubbish.

sparkle101 · 26/10/2012 19:12

Really sorry to hear that horse! But at least we get to keep you for a bit longer! (Can you tell I'm shit knowing what to say!?!)

Have started this month off with gusto, need to make up for the fact I'm on a course next week so getting in early!

Am definitely trying the mug brownie, just have to go out and buy everything now!

notsoold · 26/10/2012 20:54

So sorry horse....really sorry for you hun...

AWomanCalledHorse · 26/10/2012 21:13

Sparkle, hoping I'm not here that much longer. Glad you've started the month well, hope the course isn't anything too boring!!

Angie, holding out for a bfp in a few days for you!

Rockchick, I thought I was only 5wks but Dr's (saw one yesterday, one today) have put me at 7 weeks. I fucking hope I wasn't that far along as that would mean it had a heartbeat [hsad]
Even though I'm a JS at heart, it would seem temping & opk's are worth doing this month just so I see how much it's fubar-ed my cycle.

(((unmn group hug!))) thank you everyone x

Pixie, don't poas until at least the day before AF is due...because you might get a bfn (and then get a bfp a few days later) which would be crap.
