New thread! Come on girls, lets all get pregnant!!

OP posts:
redstrawberry · 16/11/2012 17:16

I just don't know how much more of this I can take. I am just fed up and frustrated and angry and sad. I have been this way for such a long time - the bfp keeps slipping away.

I wish GPs wouldn't give out sperm test results if they haven't got a bloody clue on how to interpret SA Angry i wish I didn't find out till the fertility clinic talked to us.
Today is a shit day.

winkle2 · 16/11/2012 19:20

Red sounds like you have the same issue as us with low morphology. Did they give you a percentage?

OP posts:
redstrawberry · 16/11/2012 19:26

winkle it was 2% Sad but what is a normal level?

Also what can help to improve it? Our fertility clinic appt is on tue next week.
I have posted the rest of the SA result on a separate thread in Conception

winkle2 · 16/11/2012 19:32

Ours was 1 and its not gone up to 2. 4 is normall.

My hubs improved by cutting back drinking and therefore smoking.

Is he on the vits?

Really sorry to hear this. We are going through the same thing :(

OP posts:
redstrawberry · 16/11/2012 19:58

He doesn't drink much since we started trying. He does do a lot of cycling and wears tight pants. Never smoked or had any hot baths.....

He's been at the gym excessively for the last 3 months to loose weight and has lost 3 stones by going gym for an hour each day -7 days in a row. So go said it might have had an effect. I feel like I am not sure what to think of it. His count is high, but morphology so low. So will wait and see what the fertility clinic says before panicking now. I just wish this was easy. Sorry you are going thru it too winkle :(

redstrawberry · 16/11/2012 19:59

What vitamins should I get him?

winkle2 · 16/11/2012 20:08

Wellman conception have everything you need.

I'll be interested to hear what the clinic say esp about trying to improve it cause I've heard so many conflicting stories.

OP posts:
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 16/11/2012 20:21

Sorry about the SA results red really hope the fertility app can suggest a solution.

resipsa · 16/11/2012 22:51

red I know you feel like and need answers from the professionals but don't lose hope, please. My DH had abnormal count (2%) and was told he'd have to be "very, very lucky" to conceive naturally (thanks GP, so helpful) but we did so no reason you won't.

Hi when aka secret twin. Feel by exploring IVF that I'm doing something and at 42 I can't just wait and see for another 12 months. Sad to have to go there but it feels better to embrace it.

littlemiss I can see some positives to 3+ for DC1 before DC2 including toilet trained, speaking, 15 free hours and more helpful round the house!

resipsa · 16/11/2012 22:53

PS lol have a great trip!

winkle2 · 17/11/2012 09:25

Looks like this morphology thing is more common than I thought. Why do we never hear about it?

OP posts:
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 17/11/2012 14:46

resipsa I think you could be right about ivf then. Look at it as a positive move forwards. Best of luck with it and make sure you let us know how you get on.

winkle2 · 17/11/2012 15:51

Best of luck with IVF res.

OP posts:
redstrawberry · 17/11/2012 20:14

Yes apparently most men have it but there's so much ambiguous info out there. Will wait till the appt to get some answers.

Finally decided to go shopping today after July to buy work clothes. Kept puttin it off thinking I'll have a bump and need maternity ones instead. It pained me to even buy new clothes! What's become of me?! Shopping was the one thing that made me happy!

Resipsa good luck on the ivf journey and please do let us know how you get on. Hope you get your bfp soon xx

winkle2 · 18/11/2012 15:40

red I have done the same - put off dieting and buying new clothes and getting a new job and, etc, etc! But now I have just got on with life - what else can you do?

CD31 here and no sign of AF. Had MAJOR cramps this morning but then they disappeared. V weird.

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 18/11/2012 16:57

winkle - v glad to hear theres no sign of AF, fx those are implantation cramps

red - im.exactly the same, i was a size 10 when i got married in 09, a 16 after DS was vorn and im.nearly back into a 12. i know with a wee bit of effort at gym or dieting i could be into a 12 and get some new clothes but i keep expecting / hoping to be pg so I've just been putting it all off. if you need some retail therapy tho i recommend make up and face cream...they fit whether u hav a bump or not!!

Went to wedding y'day...had a few drinks which was a bit cheeky on cd16 but no idea whether I'm pg or not so hard to totally forgo the wine!! On plus sude managed to.convince dh to dtd when we got home so its been cds 7, 9, 13, 14, 15 and 16 this month so far. On downside, bride's sister has exactly the same due date as I would have had if I hadnt lost the baby - I was away on.the hen weekend with her last month and I didnt really nind but her bump has kind of popped and I was finding it a bit tough going chatting to her last night. SO hope November is bfp month for us girls!! Fought thru wine induced queasiness to sink all my ttc vitamins this morning lol CD17 today and its a day off dtd, back on tomorrow...10 days til poas can commence...

LittleMissSnowShine · 18/11/2012 17:03

Feeling flipping wrecked (prob from wedding lol) and sore back (prob from dancing in heels for a few hours!) ... but of course I'm symptom spotting like a mad thing!

winkle2 · 18/11/2012 20:01

Well AF is on her way..... :(

OP posts:
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 18/11/2012 20:41

Oh bollocks winkle really sorry about af. It's shit.

littlemiss well done with the dtd (don't worry about the wine). Also well done coping with the brides sisters bump, not easy.

Af is on its way here but as we are not trying till 2013 I'm really not bothered. Only dtd once about 6 days ago so no glimmer of hope (nearly told dh nope, no point dtd ewcm dried up last week but then I remembers dtd is also meant to be just for fun Smile).

redstrawberry · 18/11/2012 21:19

sorry winkle Sad promise me you won't let it get to you...big hug and try and stay strong no matter how hard it feels. There's nothing we can do, can we? It's so difficult to go through this. But you are not alone, we are all here for you x

winkle2 · 18/11/2012 21:27

Thanks everyone. Me and hub talked about getting referred again today, think we're going to go for it. It's not really working naturally is it. Looks like my cycle has finally settled down though, this will be another 30 day cycle. 3rd or 4th on row.

OP posts:
winkle2 · 18/11/2012 21:27

I mean 3rd or 4th in a row.

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 18/11/2012 22:49

Winkle - ffs! As red said, we are all here for you. Glad your DH is being supportive and proactive about other options and it is v good news about your cycle starting to become more regular and fall into a pattern. Even tho we started ttc post-mc in August last month was really my first proper cycle so Aug / Sep didnt really count in a way cos it is so much harder getting up duffed when its 29 days one cycle, 35 the next. So any signs that things are becoming more regular is really
positive - just wish things could be happening quicker for you...and for all of us!!

when - good to hear about non-ttc shagging, almost forgot about that lol just keep thinking yeah ok i'll keep at it til cd22 or so and then can I have a break!?! It will.be fun to hav recreational sex again...sometime...

Right im wrecked (cos im def pg and not just suffering after effects if yday lol) so away to bed, night all Brew

winkle2 · 18/11/2012 23:37

Thanks littlemiss and good effort on the dtd so far. Night x

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 19/11/2012 10:41

Hey ladies, not posted for a few days as have been waiting for AF to do one, which she now has so we're back up and shagging running for cycle 8.

Thanks and Wine for those got by the witch, and sorry to red and everyone with the less than stellar test results - wish I could say something uplifting and insiring, but there isn't really anything is there?

res sorry to hear you're having such a shit time of it at the moment, I hope your mum isn't feeling too poorly and is able to kick some cancer butt and get well very soon.
