Sorry things arnt going to plan when Sad maybe a break will help re ignite your fires and enthusiasm again?! I think trying to conceive around dates is a tricky thing to do though, with dd I was due 21st sept and though perfect, she decided otherwise and came 31st aug making her literally the youngest in school! I think if I were worried come the time I would keep her back a year but I know alot of people it hasn't caused any problems for aswell, my cousin is an aug baby and is half way through medical school in the top percent do I'm not sure how much difference it really makes?!
I hope you come to a decision your both happy with though x

Kittenkatzen · 23/10/2012 18:01

Sad when that is bad news, but completely understandable of your DH had a rough time of it in school. Good luck for all the tests in the meantime though.

littlemiss I'm knackered just reading that, surely this has to be your month - no little egg could escape that onslaught! Grin

Just had a minor heart attack - logged onto fb to see a post that made me think for a moment that my 19 yr old nephew's girlfriend was pg!! My face looked like Shock and I very nearly burst into tears on the train. Thankfully it turns out to be her older sister, but still. I do NOT want to be a great aunt before I'm a mother thanks very much SadAngrySad

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/10/2012 20:38

kitten - oh flip!! Thank goodness your nephew is holding off for the time being - phew! I know its not a race but it feels like one sometimes doesnt it?

winkle - good luck! Better start on the protein shakes for stamina!!eod is most i can manage but if i was able to pinpoint ov i'd prob do the same :)

sunshine - i hear ya! At.least we can reassure ourselves that eod is nhs clinical.excellence guidance for couples ttc...and it certainly feels often.enough.lol

Cd21 - going to dtd 2moro and Fri and then declare the shagathon.concluded and obsess over every poss symptom.for a week patiently wait tild cd30 to poas. 9 days (& 2 more shags) to go!!

SunshineOutdoors · 23/10/2012 21:22

littlemiss I think you're the same as me with stupid erratic and long cycles. Cd27 here and still don't think I've ovulated yet, but been dtd lots since cd14 just in case. Need to keep going for another week I think, I'd be gutted to miss it.

redstrawberry · 23/10/2012 22:23

sunshine what you say abt the 2ww is exactly how I feel. Not excited anymore as I don't believe it's going to happen this year. I have totally given up hope of ever seeing those 2 lines on a stick :( just don't like this ttc process one bit. If anything it's making me angrier and miserable the more I think about next month another cycle. Fed up of waiting.

SunshineOutdoors · 23/10/2012 23:05

Oh red I'm sorry it's making you feel that way. I feel like I'm reaching that way too. Trying not to think about how upset and angry I'll be when af comes again.

The only positive thing I can think is that maybe we're getting close to the point where you genuinely think 'sod it, I can't do this anymore' and actually stop ttc (instead of just trying and failing to not think about it). Everyone knows that's the time you actually get pregnant isn't it? It happened on Neighbours and everything....

Seriously though, hugs to you and treat yourself nicely Smile

LittleMissSnowShine · 24/10/2012 09:15

Sunshine - Yes erratic cycle buddies! I think I did ov this cycle and I have a feeling it was around cd15 but because I can't be 100% sure I am going to dtd tonight and friday so I'll have kept up the shagathon right through to cd24 and you can't really say fairer than that I think! If I did ov on cd15 tho I'd be 6 DPO now and I can't say I have any really noticable symptoms. Damnit!

red - I know :( I've really only started ttc again this month but we started in March, I got pg in June and lost the baby at the end of July, had d&c at the start of Aug and I've been in limbo land since. It's annoying because we started talking about ttc back in January but decided to wait til after we'd been on holiday in Feb. Really wish we'd just started sooner, we def would have if I knew how long it would take :( And now if and when I do get a BFP i'm going to be so so so paranoid about losing it that I won't be able to relax even a bit for at least the first 12 weeks.

Urgh!

CD22 here anyway. 8 days til poas-day (and it still might be too early to get a bfp! stupid cycles!)

winkle2 · 24/10/2012 11:47

red - I know exactly how you feel. I don't get excited anymore, I hate this whole process. I'm fed up of endlessly banging away for nothing at the end of it.

I did get some good advice the other day from here, it said you are more likely to have children rather than not. The odds are with you and not against you. So try and remember that.

But yeah it's a shite waiting game and has totally taken the shine off the experience. Excitement and anticipation as been replaced with anxiety and worry.

redstrawberry · 24/10/2012 13:34

I think I have 4 day left littlemiss till AF arrives. Sorry about the mc in July :( I had a CP at the end of July and since then I just keep thinking I should have been 3 months pregnant by now and it hurts everytime I think about it.

Just hoping the days go quick so I can start with the endless shagging again.

Winkle thanks for sharing that. I think I haven't lost hope but I am almost at breaking point. Fx it happens soon for all of us.

SunshineOutdoors · 24/10/2012 18:57

I was so bloody cheery and positive when I first came on these threads. Now I just feel pretty cynical Sad
Bet it won't stop me from getting my hopes up before af arrives though Sad

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 24/10/2012 19:28

Still lurking away and keeping my fingers crossed for you all.

Really hope you get a BFP red I am still struggling to key go of my first cp (somehow the that was the worst one). Got my fingers crossed for you all.

SunshineOutdoors · 25/10/2012 08:41

Sorry for being so negative...

red and littlemiss I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Really hope it's the month for both of you.... more bfps would be amazing!

No sign of af yet? Do you both have an idea of when you'd test if she doesn't arrive?

I'm on cd29 today... my last 3 cycles have been 42 days, 43 days and 39 days... so it's more than likely I'm already in 2ww, but going to keep it up eod to be sure. It sounds silly, but because I have felt so negative about getting pg, I've been enjoying dtd more for its own sake, rather than to get pg. I'm hoping that means it's more likely to get me pg!

SunshineOutdoors · 25/10/2012 18:57

weechops and littlepink how are you both doing? Think you must be in 2ww? Or soon?

And kitten?

Who else is still here and not too far off ov-ing or testing?

stickybeans · 25/10/2012 19:47

I'm still here Sunshine I'm on cycle 3 post mc in July. Ttc #1. I feel I have reached that breaking point and have not put that much effort into this cycle. But surprisingly I feel way better than I did in my previous months. I have just convinced myself that I'm not pregnant and it keeps me from obsessing. I'm about 8-9dpo and havent poas at all. I refuse to buy a test until after af is late.
Fx for you all, I'm sure it will be our time soon

LittleMissSnowShine · 25/10/2012 20:15

Hello everyone! Cd23 today, i originally intended to dtd last night butforgot we had free tix to go out to this open.air play thing so got back a bit late. We'll do it tonight tho & then im flipping poas in a week's time. Trying to feel neutral...not overly excited so im not disappointed but not too down either, trying to stay on an even keel. Tough though! Hope everyone else is doing well :)

redstrawberry · 25/10/2012 21:33

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I haven't had any symptoms. Just feel very tired today. Was snoring by 7.30pm Blush and felt a few twinges near abdomen. Not getting my hopes up. Same as you littlemiss just balancing it out.

I will POAS on Halloween (booooooo) if she doesn't show this weekend. I am due Sat but OV was late so guess she might be late this month.....unless I'm knocked up. This is just plain torture.

LittleMissSnowShine · 26/10/2012 07:08

red - torture is right! On top.of everything else both times i've been pg i've had really bad HG for 8 weeks, almost constant puking, nausea, dizziness and exhaustion. Difficult to drive, v tricky to look after a toddler and almost impossible to go to work so knowing that that means the odds are prob stacked so I'll get it again means I'm kind of dreading getting a bfp as much as I want one and its hard to make firm plans to do anything in work or with friends for late-Nov cos if I get bfp at start of nov it would kick in after a couple of weeks. This ttc def is torturous!

weechops · 26/10/2012 07:14

Hey sunshine yep in the 2ww. 10dpo and not feeling like testing early for a change. I'll test Monday i think as af is due mon/ tue. I feel very relaxed? Resigned? Dunno this month, as it was a long shot anyway. Probably won't stop me being disappointed with a bfn though!

SunshineOutdoors · 26/10/2012 08:27

Hi stickybeans hope the next few days bring nothing in the way of af. I'm with you on not testing until definitely late. If you need help keeping that resolve just come back on.

weechops looks like not testing early is the current way to go. Hope it ends in af not coming. Make sure you have a lovely weekend and try not to think about ttc.

I've got a scary but fun weekend coming up. Going out to a proper nightclub for the first time since before I got pregnant with dd who's now 14 months. Back to basics in Leeds, I'm worried I'm going to feel old and untrendy but also looking forward to having a good old dance. Me and dh are staying at a hotel in Leeds too so it will be a lovely break away. A nice change from my life of looking after a baby and obsessing about having another one.

Any other nice plans for anyone this weekend?

SunshineOutdoors · 26/10/2012 08:28

littlemiss that play sounded good but cold! Was it a well known play?

winkle2 · 26/10/2012 09:32

Hey everyone. Been quiet as been busy with work etc but been reading. CD8 today and the monitor says high so will be dtd tonight. Going to aim for every day this month (until after monitor peaks). Hub did his second sperm sample yesterday too so should get the results next week.

OP posts:
SunshineOutdoors · 26/10/2012 09:34

Hi winkle I was thinking the other day that given my bloody long cycle you'd prob be in your next 2ww when I'm still in mine. cd30 today and still not sure I've ov-ed.

Kittenkatzen · 26/10/2012 09:51

Hello hello I'm still here, just been really busy with work this week.

winkle fx for good test results next week.

Lots of you seem to be 2wwing at the moment, so fx for all of you. I think I must be the odd one out atm then - CD12 for me so waiting for ov any day now. Have had ewcm since Tuesday but no +ve opk yet. Not sure what to make of that. Have only dtd late on Monday night though - must make an effort to jump DH tonight so we're at least in with a slim chance.

sunshine your weekend sounds fab, I can't remember the last time I went properly clubbing and I don't even have kids! Love a good dance though.

Am VERY excited about this weekend as I'm off to the O2 tomorrow night to see Muse which is going to be flipping awesome :o:o:o

winkle2 · 26/10/2012 14:28

I feel your pain sunshine. My cycles were long and irregular but fingers crossed they seem to have settled down to 29/30 days.
