When really sorry af got you. Evil witch :(

Red hope you have a good time at the baby shower. I've never been to one before.

I'm going to assume I ov cd15 as usual and I just missed the smiley or else I'll feel shit til November! So 5dpo today and not feeling a thing. I'm just going to start making the soup for Sunday dinner before I head to the hospital to see my dad. Thanks for all the kind thoughts btw. He has end stage copd so probably a year to live but he's hard work tbh!

LittleMissSnowShine · 21/10/2012 20:21

Still feeling wrecked here - only been last 3 days, fortnight before that I was feeling very energised, rosy cheeked and shiny haired with all my pre-natal vits. Really trying not to read too much into it tho I am setting myself up for a big fall by convincing myself I'm def pg

weechops- 5dpo is v early to hav any symptoms, im the crazy one thinking every twinge and/or yawn is a sign!!

woody - good luck for poas 2moro, its sounding v positive!

kitten - lol at your squeamish dh, im not sure if you are ttc no.1 but if that's the case it is amazing how much less squeamish you end up being about body fluids after pg, childbirth and b/f. I used to be pretty uptight and i am a letting it all hang out hippie now (well a wee bit, im still an irish mammy after all lol)

woody17 · 22/10/2012 08:44

Tested and got an incredibly faint line but it's definitely there. Guess all the 'symptoms' were signs. Really hope that this one works out.

SunshineOutdoors · 22/10/2012 09:36

Hooray!

Wow woody well done! Are you going to test again in a few days?

So pleased for you! Hooray again!!!

Kittenkatzen · 22/10/2012 09:47

Yay woody congratulations, what a lovely start to the week! Fingers tightly crossed for a sticky one :)

littlemiss yep ttc #1, how could you tell! Wink I'm trying to break DH in a little by subjecting him to as many Midwives/OBEM re-runs as I can!

weechops hope you had a nice visit with your dad yesterday

red how did the baby shower go?

CD8 for me....am going to go with ov sticks twice a day and hope I can catch ov that way. FX.

woody17 · 22/10/2012 10:03

Thank you everyone. I am very happy but very nervous.

Thank you sunshine. I think I might get a CB digital one and use it at the weekend - just to see the words 'pregnant'. Just going to assume all is ok unless I bleed a lot.

Thank you kitten - I know, I really really really hope it sticks! FX that you catch ov. I used CB OBKs this month and conceive plus for the first time.

red how was the baby shower?

weechops hope your soup was nice and that your visit went ok.

weechops · 22/10/2012 14:49

woody that's fantastic, congratulations! :)

littlepinkfizz · 22/10/2012 15:07

Woody when did you Dtd with regards to your smiley? I'm on cd 11 today and have really slippery cm which is very stretchy.it looks like ewcm but no smiley this morning. I feel the cb opk is wrong. Could I be right?

winkle2 · 22/10/2012 15:11

Congrats Woody, that is great news!

When ? sorry she got you :(

I've not been around as I've had a busy weekend and a very boozy week, been celebrating the new job a bit too hard and much wine has been consumed! Back to being good from today!

CD4 here and took the soy again last night. Taking it from CD3-7 again.

Been reading up a lot about morphology and it seems that it is the reason why it's taking us so long to conceive. But there is so much conflicting info out there. Can't wait to be referred to a specialist so we can ask questions and get proper answers.

oh woody congratulations! I am soo pleased for you. Fx the line gets very dark.

Baby Shower was fab. I was ecstatic hosting it and the games were ridiculous but a good laugh, just what I needed.

However sunshine i dont think you can ever forget about ttc. Especially when a nice mum at the baby shower who was chatting to me for ages turned around and asked "how old are your little ones?" I guess I must have sounded very broody. Not her fault.

Roll on 10dpo I guess! Still nothing major except an increased appetite. Which I guess I am putting down to comfort eating. I so need to stop doing that as I am just putting more weight on than loosing it < slowly puts down leftover cupcake from baby shower >

hahaha kitten if only I was at a brewery! I'd run the place dry. Haven't drank much this month.

winkle2 · 22/10/2012 17:00

glad you had fun at the baby shower red.

I've started my diet today for the millioneth time this year! Keep putting it off cause I think I'll get fat and pregnant anyway. Well I'm half way there!

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 22/10/2012 19:22

woody - yay, congrats!! it did sound v positive for you last few days so i'm not surprised you got your BFP today!! really fx for you that it's a sticky one but all you can do now is celebrate!! (before the morning sickness starts Grin)

winkle - welcome back to the land of sobriety Wink i know exactly what you mean re: contradictory information, even different drs seem to completely disgree with each other. After i had the scan which showed mmc, consultant came down and told me not to try again for 4 months. As soon as she left the room the senior midwife said we could start ttc again straight away. Wtf? Totally diff opinions from diff medical professionals within...err...2 mins of each other!!

littlepink - i think slippery CM means that you are fertile, and you are supposed to start dtd about 3 days before you ov in order to get plenty of..err..swimmers inside you before you actually ov. So if you do have slippery CM then it helps swimmers swim, and even if there's no smily yet you might as well start dtd plenty anyway!

red - lol i am def hungrier than usual over last couple of days. pretty sure i'm just being a greedy mare tho!

sunshine - i bought conceive plus last month. haven't gotten round to using it yet. the syringe applicator thingys are intimidating! also got grapefruit juice on shopping list for next month...

Nothing new here, today, on cd20. Took night off shagging last night so back to dtd tonight. So far we've managed cds 6, 7, 10, 13, 15, 16 and 18. Not sure what day I ov so going to dtd tonight and cd 22 too just to be on safe side, won't test til cd30 (pre-mc cycle was 33 days). 10 days to go!

redstrawberry · 22/10/2012 19:30

I tried the conceive plus - didn't work for me Sad nor did the grapefruit juice.

winkle I'm thinking of dieting tomorrow. I dunno I have a belly like a pregnant woman after eating dinners n lunches....so need to loose weight! I don't wanna get fat before I get pregnant. I have just scoffed a large box of pizza and feel so bad :'(

woody17 · 22/10/2012 22:05

Thank you for all your nice messages - trying to be positive and keep telling myself that there's no reason that this one won't work out.

littlepinkfizz - I ended up getting a smiley on 2 days of this cycle, almost 2 weeks apart! For the first one, we dtd three days before, one day before, the day of, 2 days after, 4 days after. With the second smiley, we dtd about 3 days before and the day of. After the first smiley, I got ewcm about a week later - we'd dtd two days before that and we dtd the day of the ewcm.

littlemisssnowshine hope the next 10 days go by quickly.

Glad the baby shower went well red

winkle glad you celebrated hard!

winkle2 · 22/10/2012 22:40

Woody when do you think you ov'd then? That's weird having 2 smileys!

OP posts:
woody17 · 22/10/2012 22:42

I have absolutely no idea winkle!

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/10/2012 06:48

Opks can giv u weird results if you have any kind of hormone imbalance, even.one you didnt know about, which might explain two smilys! Or you.ov twice and you're having twins. Grin

LittleMissSnowShine · 23/10/2012 06:50

6, 7, 10, 13, 15, 16, 18..& 20!!

woody17 · 23/10/2012 09:09

Yes, I'm thinking it must of been down to hormones littlemisssnowshine, especially as I was always having sore boobs are nausea at that point!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 23/10/2012 10:33

Congrats woody so pleased for you. I thought it would be good news with all your symptoms.

Bad news here. Had long heart felt chat with dh and he thinks we should have a two month break from ttc. He doesn't want a baby born as the youngest in the year. He was small for his age and born in summer (still is petite) and was bullied at school (primary). He says he doesn't want the same for his child.

I was a bit gutted I just want to keep trying but I can see where he is coming from.

We are having blood tests to check for any possible chromosomal abnormalities so we should get them back at the end of Nov. I am going to spend the rest if the year trying to get healthy, going to start exercising again and eating better.

winkle2 · 23/10/2012 11:15

wow littlemiss, you are dedicated to the cause dtd that early in the morning!

when ? a couple of months break might do you good. TBH I'm kinda writing off this year and going go for it properly next year. new year, new beginning, etc. Make sure you let us know how the tests go.

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 23/10/2012 12:19

winkle - actually it was late last night, just updating this morning. I think out of all the days we dtd only one was a morning time one cos DS is up with the birds!

when- I think the school year works differently in NI, the oldest in the year are born in july and the youngest are born in june if that makes sense, but my DH is the same, he has a June birthday so he was nearly the youngest in his year and we were also a bit iffy about wanting to ttc in September because of the likelihood of the baby being born in June. If I got pg this month I'd be due in July, so that would be perfect for me, but i completely understand why you would want to think about having a child that would be young for their year...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 23/10/2012 14:01

Thanks for the replies winkle and littlemiss.

I think a little break would do us good. I think dh is just worried about having a son who will be small like him. If this imaginary small son is old for the year at least be gets a head start. I am more worried about them struggling to keep up (am convinced dc 2 will be a girl) academically.

I just want to get preg but am so frightened of getting another cp so I think it would be best to leave it for a while.

SunshineOutdoors · 23/10/2012 16:50

Ah when I feel your frustration but a break might be good for you. Ttc can be very emotionally draining.

Well, the everyday plan isn't happening, we doing eod instead. Everyday is too tiring st the moment! Tmi but dh reckons his semen doesn't come out as fast or as much when it's everyday so his theory is we've got more chance with eod anyway. I hope he's right.

Not feeling excited about upcoming 2ww anymore though. It's just stopped feeling like it's going to happen. winkle I think I'm the same as you just expecting it to be next year rather than this.
