Hi all,

Sorry I've been away for a while, had a bit of a rl nightmare when dd grabbed my hot cup of tea, she's ok, but burned on her arm...I felt like the worst mother ever, ambulance came to take us to hospital and everything Sad. Still getting used to what she can and can't do/reach now that she's walking. Everyone's been lovely about it but I still feel dead guilty. Doctors say the burn will fade thankfully. I've been lurking on mn and posting a little but didn't have the energy to read through here (and felt like shit mum didn't deserve to come on here talking about ttc). But I'm back now! I wanted a tiny gap between dcs 1 and 2 but now can see maybe it's better it's longer so I can properly look after each one!

I've been reading and can't believe I missed Nic's bfp... a wedding one that's so amazing.

I'm sorry you had a down patch winkle, I really hope it's your month.

Hi to everyone, teaandcakes it sounds positive to me but I totally understand you not wanting to get your hopes up. Try and occupy yourself with treats until you know for sure af is late.

I've decided that if I don't get pg this month then I'm going to the doctors...I know I'm having sex at the right time and it's just not happening Sad Am being even more proactive this month but then it's the doctors for me.

tedmundo · 17/10/2012 15:16

winkle I occasionally stalk lurk to see how the spring/summer crew I spent ttc with are doing ... Fx fx fx fx fx for Friday. I will be back then to see the Bfp!

teaandcakesolveseverything · 17/10/2012 16:02

Just seen my post above, I think I am cracking up, best get back to work methinks!

Sunshine, sorry you're feeling crap, you are not a shit mum, just a human one, so don't feel guilty, thats what happens sometimes with kids, and however careful we all try to be sometimes these things happen, its not your fault though. Hope you feel better soon

Fairy130389 · 17/10/2012 16:51

sunshine - we all take our eye off the ball sometimes!!
My step daughter lives with us, and when she broke her arm, we just thought she'd bashed it, I told her over and over to be brave and keep moving it - even told the doc at minor injuries that we just thought it was bruised - but it was broken!!!!!!!! Because she wasn't making much fuss we both thought she was fine! I felt like the worst parent ever then, we all have moments, we are HUMAN!

Teaandcakes - it sounds positive to me! just hold out a few more days and see what happens fx

Winkle - congrats on the job! FX for new job BFP - good things come in groups so fx

winkle2 · 17/10/2012 18:26

Sending you hugs tea and sunshine - it sounds like you need them!

Tedmundo - your kiddies will probably be 18 and I'll still be on here chasing that elusive BFP! Hope you're doing ok x

Hello to everyone else. Not much to report here. No AF still here which means I'll prob have one of my stupid long cycles and dtd at the wrong time argh

OP posts:
SunshineOutdoors · 17/10/2012 19:26

Ah, thanks all. I'll try to be on a bit more now...don't want to miss the bfps.

Winkle give yourself a treat tonight....chocolate, film, mag, early night, whatever will make you feel a bit comforted.

redstrawberry · 17/10/2012 19:37

sunshine don't be too hard on yourself! It's not your fault just one of those things life throws at you. How far long in your cycle are you now?

I have been busy with sorting out 2 baby showers for my friends and surprisingly they have taken my mind off ttc as I love planning events. Just hoping one day my friends will be throwing me one and I will be the mum-to-be Grin

Work wise I have had to travel a lot and getting to manage a big project which is taking up about 12 hours of my day and that's 12 hours I am not thinking about ttc.

Also hubby is redecorating parts of the house so I get to pick the paints and accessories - so totally into that.

That's 3 projects on the go -whew!

I am sleeping much better. Literally hit the pillow as I am so shattered. I am doing bbt charting and humping like rabbits when we can as it worked for nic. I do want to get pregnant and I hope really not obsessing works this month. I think I am in my 2ww now an af is due end of oct.

MrsBri · 17/10/2012 19:55

Yes, my hint is definitely shag loads! I advocate nighttime sex during the fertile period. And this was our first month of using Conceive Plus. That could be a coincidence, I suppose, though.

Thinking back, I was concentrating too much on shagging on the day of the smilie and not leading up to it. I only discovered the existence of capacitation this cycle...fresh sperm won't get you up duffed! :-/

Fx to you all. xx

LittleMissSnowShine · 17/10/2012 19:57

sunshine - when ds was about 11 months he scratched himself on the cheek so deeply you can still sometimes see a faint mark where he did it 15 months later! How / why he did that i will.never know but you feel so rubbish :( hope your dd is feeling better.

Hope everyone is well, i am feeling completely shattered this evenibg. DS in bed, DH at gym, shower, sofa, tv & bed for me now in quick succession!! And possibly dtd again. Tho ewcm is less ew like.now and heartburn.is gone so maybe ov has been and gone. Hmm eod is.prob fine regardless...would be happy to have tonight off!

woody17 · 17/10/2012 22:01

Hi everyone - got back from Rome late last night.

So, I still have my 'symptoms'! Feeling nauseous all the time and my boobs are still really sore. The tenderness has now spread from kind of being almost under arms to the whole of my boobs. I'm CD26 but have so far just had BFN. I have completely got my hopes up as the only time that my boobs have done this before is when I was pg for the first time.

Congratulations nic - fantastic timing!

Congratulations on the new job winkle

Congratulations on your BFPs fairy and kiwi

weechops really sorry to hear about your dad. Hope you are getting lots of support in RL.

Sorry af arrived kitten

teaandcakes I totally understand you not wanting to test - it's horrible when the line doesn't appear Sad I try to have little things planned to make the time go back quicker.

Sunshine you definitely shouldn't feel guilty. Hope you are feeling better soon.

lol sorry I can't help with your opk/ov questions - I feel totally confused about it all at the moment. I think that the opk picks up on the surge and ov supposedly happens 24-48 hours after that...but I'm not sure.

redstrawberry I love planning things too! I think that it helps to have lots of things to take our minds of ttc/2ww.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 17/10/2012 22:01

sunshine don't feel bad. Your dd will be fine, these sorts of things happen to all parents [flashback to dd throwing herself off the windowsill and me only just catching her in time]

tea it's sounding good, hope you get your BFP

winkle af staying away is great. Yes it could be one of your stupid messed up cycles but it could also be good news.

lol if you tested on Tues and got a Smile but a negative the next day I think you probably oved on Wednesday making you 8 dpo today.

No news here, work is beyond shit at the moment and shows no sign of improving. Am 9 dpo today, no implantation spotting (I normally get this) so I don't think this is my month.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 17/10/2012 22:04

Hi woody sorry there is no BFP yet but the symptoms sound good. Hope you had a good time in Rome

woody17 · 17/10/2012 22:45

Thank you when I really hope so...

Lolcbcblemonlime · 17/10/2012 23:15

Thanks when. So ewcm on thu does not mean I ovd on thu then??? This is so bloody complicated Confused

winkle2 · 17/10/2012 23:19

Welcome back woody :)

Hi when xx

Lolcbcblemonlime · 17/10/2012 23:20

Winkle enlighten me with your wisdom please! What dpo am I????

woody17 · 18/10/2012 08:20

lol I think you get the ewcm on your most fertile day? Don't know if that's the day you ov though. Sorry.

winkle2 · 18/10/2012 08:23

I would count the day after the smiley as 1DPO.

CD31 here and still no sign of AF. Have allowed myself to get a teeny bit excited....

OP posts:
woody17 · 18/10/2012 08:31

Have my fingers crossed for you winkle

When are you going to test?

SunshineOutdoors · 18/10/2012 08:40

I keep thinking about how fantastic nic's bfp is. She must be walking on air at the moment!

MrsBri · 18/10/2012 08:43

Awww...thank you Sunshine! We are so excited about it :-) I'm not ready to go to the pregnancy side of MN yet though, hence lurking! Don't want to scare myself silly anymore than I already am.

SunshineOutdoors · 18/10/2012 08:45

Oooh, it's you! Congratulations!!! Are you honeymooning?

winkle2 · 18/10/2012 08:52

Thx woody, will test tomorrow.

It'll be sods law if I get a BFP and a new job in the same week!

Hmmm just checking back over my app and it seems the last time I used the monitor I got AF 15dpo and I'm still only 14dpo as I ov'd cd17 this time and cd15 last time. So still not officially late.
